Great time Llama learning and walking. AJ is very knowledgeable and shares this with the group while bonding with your Llama. Leisurely walk on a beautiful property with very sweet animals. Thoroughly enjoyed this.

The Cyrenius H. Booth Library is the public library for the community of Newtown, CT. It was a posthumous gift of benefactress Mary Elizabeth Hawley. The architect for the library was Philip Sutherland, and it's style was designed to fit in with the private homes on Main Street. Many of the furnishings inside were formally Mrs. Hawley's possessions. The library was opened on December 17, 1932
A beautiful building filled with happy staff and great content. The building is one of the anchors of our beautiful Main St. and deservedly so. With plenty of room for all the varied activities in constant motion there in.

Chef Carlos personally delivered exquisite culinary delights right to the door of my car at the new drive up service area. Same great food, super convenient and socially distant. Five stars.

This was first visit to the museum and the kids enjoyed it. It’s not a large museum but it has some cool exhibits for the little ones. We enrolled my older child in coding class which was really great and will likely try more of these in the future.

Right at Newtown's flagpole on Main St. this is a wonderful facility owned and operated by a 501C. It has been the site of numerous weddings and other gathering over the years since the original parish donated the structure after their new facility was completed.

The property was purchased from a long time Newtown family in the early 70's. It is split upper and lower by the river / lake. There are several hiking trails but unfortunately they are over run by numerous mountain bikers and are extremely muddy and slippery with this mild winter not helping. In a normal winter when the lake freezes you can see the wintering eagles flying up and down the river looking for an easy meal. In the summer the lake is swarmed by folks illegally swimming and picnicking along the shoreline and the boat traffic as a result of the two state launches can be a bit loud for those of us who live near by. With a terribly understaffed organization the State Department of Energy and Environment hasn't been able to keep up with the huge numbers of people who are leaving mountains of garbage such a dirty diapers, beer cans and the remnants of their camp fires. The majority of the visitors are unaware (thou there are notices posted at both entrances), that hunting is permitted for both small game and deer in season. As a result hunters are frequently frustrated by the bikers who use the trails that are supposed to be for hikers and hunters exclusively. A worry is that one of those Dads with their daughter on their shoulders wearing a brown coat with a furry white collar will be mistaken for a deer by a hunter and something terrible could occur.
