Helen Elliott, an internationally recognised 'Naive Artist' has her studio gallery in Newcastle Emlyn. Open Tuesday to Saturday all year except for January, 10am - 4pm. Visit the studio gallery and see the artist at work, browse originals, prints and cards, discuss commissions or even have a day's art tuition. Free entry. Helen's colourful, contemporary, 'Happy Pictures' are instantly recognisable and feature the people and places of West Wales. Children very welcome. Parking. Wheelchair access.

Just stopped by quickly on our way through with our daughter and so thrilled that we took the time to find this little studio - Helen and her partner were so welcoming, and our daughter loved hearing Helen talk to her about painting and drawing - even having a chance to get close up to one of Helen's current projects! Walked away from the studio with a lovely little print and a colouring book for Maisey to get her teeth into - will definitely be looking to buy more art soon, as standing in this studio surrounded by so much colour made us feel so happy - a must see if you're passing through :)

Imagine a garden where you can grow food sustainably for less work than a vegetable patch, that’s better for wildlife and more beautiful to boot. Forest Garden Wales is a garden on the borders of Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. Here you can see how to incorporate fruit & nut trees, perennial vegetables and ground cover plants for food and to provide habitats for increased biodiversity. We have two sites, the first one was started in 2015 and is quite literally bearing fruit. We’ve constructed a wildlife pond, polytunnel, propagation beds, compost bins and raised beds. There’s also a makeshift meadow, an orchard area and a willow coppice. The second is an Ornamental Forest Garden started in the winter of 2018, demonstrating how you can have your visually attractive garden cake and eat it. To visit the garden, it’s essential to email in advance.

Amazing ruin. Its a bit hidden away at one end of the high street. There are a handful of car parking places for £2 but the main car park is only 10 min walk away. Its such a pretty ruin with a local story of dragon birth brings more legend to the ruin. It over looks the river and has a stunning views. Walk around the bottom of the hill as the river sweeps around in a loop. There are picnic benches by the river makes it a great way to spent a relaxing few hours and its FREE!

Pottery Painting Studio, suitable for all ages and abilities. A wide range of blank pottery to choose from, you wil be shown how to apply the special ceramic paint to create a work of art to be proud of.
7. Gabrielle’s Gallery
Owner Gabrielle is on hand at most times to show you around, lend a hand & help you make the most of the arts facilities. There’s a potters wheel you can hire & have s go at, over 200 pottery ceramics to choose from & paint, a variety of art materials you can buy plus of course the gallery which contains examples of Gabrielle’s own unique ceramic tiling & paintings plus an assortment of local welsh craft. Large parking area to the rear of the building & developments to open a cafe on site too.
