Lake Muskoka

Reviewed By O8166OLdaniel - Muskoka District, Canada

Lake Muskoka is my favourite place. Many childhood memories were created here and I still see this lake daily. I try to get out on the lake as often as possible in the boat, paddleboard or even aboard one of the great ships cruising out of the Muskoka Wharf. Definitely a treasure and should be protected for futures generations to enjoy!

Overall the tour couldn’t have been better! In his tour around his sugar farm, Tom explained us in detail the entire production of maple syrup, most important things to remember, short maple history lessons included ;) The tour ends with an insight in his valuable antique collections and a nice and delicious little maple products tasting. What we really liked about the tour was the authenticity of everything (it is not one of the farms just created for tourists) and the way Tom is giving the tour by integrating everyone, making some jokes etc. You can feel he’s passionate about the topic ;) We feel confident to be able to open our very own maple farm now :D Thanks Sugarbush Tom, great experience, we recommend it to all our friends! Great place to bring young kids especially to see how they like roller coasters! :) splash pad was very nice with a large change cabin right beside it which was very convenient. This attraction also is not very large so great to bring the grand parents along as well. Fully wheel chair accessible from what I could see. All staff that we interacted with were fantastic - especially the younger "kids" operating most of the rides - very patient and very polite! Our 6 year old was very happy. There's also an area for bigger kids with an arcade and go karts that we didn't visit but looked awesome. So something for every age group for sure! Only "negative" I can think of is that the pirate paddle boats are only good for riders under 200lbs. At 6'2 and sporting a bit of a dad bod it ruled me out for the paddle boats but I've got great video of my wife and daughter experiencing a paddle boat for the first time! :)

Group of Seven Outdoor Gallery

Reviewed By annemarieh905 - Barrie, Canada

We had a wonderful time in Huntsville looking at the stores and purchasing items at the various stores and did a walk about looking at the sculpture and outdoor wall murals and reading the signage about the paintings. We didn't see all of them, but did enjoy what we did see. The day was sunny and relatively warm. A glorious day - we would like to visit it again when it's a little warmer...maybe in July.

All necessary covid precautions were carefully enforced with plenty of space for everyone on the very comfortable Wenonah ll. The boat crew was extremely friendly and courteous. A must for anyone coming up to this area.

Sawdust City Brewing

Located in Gravenhurst Ontario, the gateway to Muskoka, Sawdust City Brewing Company is dedicated to the art and science of creating exceptional craft beers. We produce traditional ales in an array of styles, but there is nothing traditional about the flavour. Our brewmaster, Sam Corbeil, and his talented team create award-winning exciting beers that expand the borders of traditional flavour profiles. The rule at Sawdust City is there are no rules. We are just here to make great beer. In addition to our six year-round core brands, we brew exceptional seasonal offerings, exciting limited batch brews, barrel-aged and experimental beers. Of course all of our beers are all-natural and made with only the finest ingredients. We don't take ourselves too seriously as our labels express and hey, beer should be fun! What we do take seriously is the quality of our beers, which we are sure you will enjoy.

McCrae Lake Conservation Trail

Reviewed By RobotronD1000

Wilderness! This is a beautiful wildness park, complete with wildlife. Parking is a problem. I need to make a comment. People are reporting that this park lacks signage. This is not true at all. There is a sign at the start of the trail, and markings/signs all the way to the waterfall at the other end. Having said that, and I apologize up front if this is offensive, if you cannot see the signs that are readily available, this is not the park for you. This is a wilderness area. If you are unable to see these signs, don't come here - you will end up getting lost and/or hurt.
