We went here on a recommendation of a lady we met in a store in Sleepy Hollow. It was so beautiful. Part of the gardens is under construction but the parts we did see were still really lovely. It was a nice place to stop and take pictures.

Manor park is a beautiful park in Larchmont on the water, with breathtaking view. In the summer the kids love to run up and down the rocks, or just simply sit there and enjoy the view. You can not picnic in the park, and must have your dog on the leash at all times.

Hudson River Museum

Reviewed By WestSideKid - Bronxville, New York

The Hudson River Museum overlooks the Hudson River along Warburton Avenue just below Odell Avenue. It captures a variety of subjects and modalities, including painting (some Hudson River School paintings, as well as wall panels, posters); some items of sculpture; ecology--the ecology of the Hudson Estuary and River Valley; space (a small planetarium with a changing and excellent sky show); all adjacent to one of the old Hudson Valley mansions of the old Dutch-English families that dominated New York society and business into the early 20th Century. It is probably a good way to introduce younger children to museums since it has so many different types of exhibits, and in fact, it is also used as an educational center for the Yonkers schools. Docent led tours of the museum and particularly the mansion are available. Parking is free in a large lot adjacent to the museum. It is a little tricky to find it driving there, so make sure you use your GPS. The problem is that there are only a few streets that cross that part of Yonkers from the parkways to Warburton Avenue. A small gift shop oriented toward kids with some snacks available, but there is no café.
