A well-maintained rail trail. We rode 2 sections one day the Heart of Ohio Trail about 20 miles and the next day the Kokosing Gap Trail about 20 miles. There was plenty more miles to ride, but we were short on time. The Kokosing Trail is more scenic with bridges, trees, Amish Farms, a restored Train Engine in Gambier and a stone arch in Howard.

We play here every year. It is about an hour and a half drive for us but we go for the day. This year 24 of us went and all bought the all inclusive package; $54 during the week gets you unlimited golf, six free drinks, 3 free sandwiches and 3 free snacks. We always play a normal 18 and then scramble in the afternoon for another 18. Both finishing holes on each side can ruin your round, they both have a pond right in front of the green and you have to hit a good enough tee shot to have a decent shot to the green or ker plunk. The carts have built in GPS and we compared it to our Garmin and laser range finders and it was right on. The personnel made sure we had a good time and invited us back.

Wow on so many levels. Particularly special at sunset. We were in the area biking and were intrigued by the book in our room at the Mount Vernon Inn, “Ariel-Foundation Park: The Story of an Ohio Town that Preserved its History and Transformed an Abandoned Industrial Site into a World-Class Park” by Aaron Keirns. We didn't have long to visit as nightfall was approaching, but I am so glad we made time to go. After returning to our room, I spent quite a long time perusing the book about the park and it is quite a story. Thanks to all who made this amazing place possible!
