What a GREAT trip we had rafting on the river with Les, he made our experience something we will always remember. His knowledge and his personality made for a fun and exciting day on the Ocoee River. It was a little scary at times, but...MoreThank you! Glad you felt it was worth the drive to get to us. That's what we love to hear. Hope to see you roll with Thunder again. _Bobbye

12/25/17; hard to find but what a easy hike for families to see a beautiful water fall. Take Aska road to Stanly creek (at the restaurant on the LH side of the road) and keep driving even off the asphalt to gravel and you will see the parking area. This trail goes into other trail areas if you so desire to venture further.

This was a great gift for my husband and we enjoyed the experience as a family. Todd was very helpful and great with the kids (3 teenagers)! We drove the tank for about 30 minutes and then stopped by the Blue Ridge Brewery for lunch. It makes a fantastic day trip from Atlanta.

Grumpy Old Men Brewery is a microbrewery located in beautiful Blue Ridge, Georgia. We currently have 18 beers on tap so there’s always something new and different for the craft beer lover to try!
Very relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly....actually had a nice variety of beers to choose from considering their size. My groups favorite beer was the porter....but all were very good. One of the owners (Steve) was super friendly and accommodating. He hung out with us for a bit, chatted us up, and played awesome music the whole time we were there. This is a must stop for a beer lover visiting Blue Ridge....but be advised....they are only open from 1-5pm Thursday-Sunday and closed Monday-Wednesday...so plan accordingly. Thanks again Steve for the awesome hospitality!

We invite you to visit our grapevines, each with its own personality, and experience the simple and serene pleasures that the North Georgia Mountains have waiting for you. Give yourself a moment to pause and celebrate nature’s down-to-earth gifts of life, people, and wine. We are just a few country miles outside of Blue Ridge, and we look forward to welcoming you! About the Farm In the early 1960s, the seed was planted, for what would one day become Serenberry Vineyards, when Henry and Ethelyn Jernigan came to North Georgia. After hearing about the area’s trout fishing, they purchased acreage in Morganton, Georgia, with a house and a barn that had been built in the 1920s. After selling the house to a couple of close friends, they converted the barn into what has been known as ‘the Little House’ ever since. Fast forward two generations later, and the Little House is still in the family. Years ago, the original house was repurchased, and now overlooks a beautiful vineyard. The Little House was renovated, exposing its original roots as a barn, and was transformed into the Tasting Barn in 2012.
We visited on an overcast day. It's a bit of a haul from Blue Ridge, but it is scenic so we did not mind the drive. The Vineyard itself is down a gravel road...all part of the experience. The tasting room is quaint, nothing fancy but serves the purpose. The tasting room was actually a family home built back in the 1800's so it is charming...it is small and I don't think it had air conditioning as it was warm in there...but again, I guess part of the experience. The girl who spoke with us was very friendly and knowledgeable. My only suggestion is that the tastings take place at a small bar up front and you have to stand the entire time (I have bad knees and also just had a knee surgery)... so it felt a bit rushed. It would be nice if you had some bar stools around an old wine barrel or something of the sort and the tasting could be experienced at your leisure instead of the pourer seeming as if she was waiting on you so we could get on to the next one. There's a quaint little patio on the back that is nicely done and the vineyard itself it pretty...it is a relatively new vineyard so in it's infant stages. Pricing seemed fair. I give it a 4.5 star rating...could easily be a solid 5 with a couple of adjustments.

Located in Blue Ridge Georgia. You will experience a kayak trip to remember. Paddle the scenic and less populated area of the upper Toccoa River or paddle the coves and islands of Lake Blue Ridge. All ages and experience levels can enjoy either one of these beautiful paddles.
Arrived around noon with our own kayaks. Put in right away and started on our 6 mile trip. Blazing hot day in the 90's but the river water was cold, crisp, and comfortable. Beautiful clear water--could see all the way to the bottom. Encountered some choppy water here and there (just enough to make it interesting!). Arrived at the put out area and was met there and transported with our kayaks back to our cars. Very enjoyable!!! Would do it again for sure!!

The swinging bridge is wonderful and we highly recommend visiting if you are in the Blue Ridge area. I definitely agree with the previous reviewers that said not to try this with a car... I personally wouldn't try it with anything but an AWD/4x4 SUV/Jeep/truck etc. The road is 4 or so miles to get to the trail head and it is very bumpy, rocky and muddy. With that being said, we had a blast driving back there in our AWD SUV. The walk to the bridge was pretty easy even for a couch-potato-ish person like myself. The bridge was beautiful as was the river and area around the bridge. We climbed down to the water to explore a little while we were there.
We had no trouble finding it because we used the GPS coordinates in Google Maps. Parking lot -

Staying in the Blue Ridge mountains for a week, we researched the many trails of this beautiful area in Georgia. Since we were traveling with our two teenagers, we looked for a moderate trail that would be enjoyable for the whole family. We were a good half hour away from the trailhead. The drive through the mountain is on a winding road, perfectly picturesque, with about 5 miles of gravel road to the trailhead. Once we arrived at the trailhead, there are several trails to choose from, including the Appalachian Trail. The Long Creek Falls Trail is a 1.9 mile uphill trail going in, and downhill coming out. The trail is wide at some parts, narrow at other parts, with a constant sound of the creek to your left as you head to the falls. It is a beautiful trail, and at the end you are greeted by a beautiful and serene landscape. Although this is bear territory, we didn't see one, or any other animals other than a few birds and butterflies. Loved this trail.
