The Principality of Monaco, a small city-state overlooking the pristine blue waters of the Mediterranean, is a place famed for its glamour and wealth. The Palais Princier, former home of Princess Grace and current home of her son, Prince Albert II, is at the top of the cliff-bound medieval Monaco-Ville. More well known is Monte Carlo, a neighborhood soaked in sun, money, and expensive champagne, and home to the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, the European Poker Tour, and the Monte Carlo Rally.

From aquariums to its shark lagoon, passing through the Turtle Island located on the panoramic terrace, it offers a unique opportunity to know, love and protect the oceans. A crossroads between Art and Science, this Temple of the Sea is home to over 6,000 specimens and priceless collections of Natural History. Come and visit, with our exhibitions and events, you too can experience the depths of the oceans…
This is a wonderful place to visit and the entrance fee is great value for money, lots of lovely colourful displays of marine life and loads to see, the aquarium is in the basement with the upper floors being the museum, there is the usual shop as you exit and a cafe for a drink or bite to eat. Highly recommended.

My favourite view on the French Riviera. There is a little hike involved so make sure you have appropriate shoes but it’s not too hard. There is also gardens and the walk leading to the Palace is so beautiful!

Possibly one of the best spots ever for people a and more importantly super car watching. The breathtaking casino, cafe de Paris, numerous other pavement cafes and restaurants and a very very well stocked and reasonably priced souvenir shop Whats not to love in one of Europe’s most iconic locations

Small Japanese garden with koi pond and a tea house. Takes 20-30 minutes to visit and even in the area they built heavily is quiet and clean.

A wonderful experience to overlook the magnificent harbour. It is well worth the effort to gain height to secure those memorable vantage points and capture them on your camera.

We visited on a Sunday and it wasn’t very busy, which was nice. The collection is varied and well curated with some fantastic vehicles, it’s certainly well worth a visit. While we were there the exhibits ranged from early horse drawn carriages through to exotica and rally cars as well as exhibits about motoring in Monaco and car design. Entrance price was fair. I admit to being a car fan, with classic cars of my own, but my husband isn’t particularly interested and can get bored at some museums, but he wasn’t bored here. You should visit. When you go, look out for the pedestals holding the information cards, they are all different and made from car components.

Went on 5 day Leger coach trip with a friend staying in Bartolomeo al Mare, Italy on B&B basis. Stayed overnight in Reims on outbound journey. I enjoy travelling by coach and the drive south through Champagne, along the Rhone to Cote d'azure and then along the coast road passed Monaco to Italy for 3 nights. Plenty of seafront restaurants in Bartolomeo al Mare so no need to stay in your hotel. Our experience was to go out of the hotel for dinner and NOT eat dinner in the hotel. The breakfast was perfectly fine as a Contintal Breakfast. But the restaurants along the seafront were friendly, had Italian family clientele and the food was superb and definitely value for money. We had included coach transfers in and out of Monaco on Saturday and Sunday for Qualifying and the GP race and spent full days in Monaco on both days, walking around and watching both the main events and other races. The attractions in Monaco are closed while the races are on and some do reopen once the races have ended for the day. There are plenty of affordable eateries and bars around Monaco for a bite to eat, coffee or beer etc. You don't have to look too far. We had swimming pool section tickets pre bought via the F1 website but general admission tickets were included in our tour operator package. This was an excellent trip well organised by Leger Coach Holidays. We enjoyed every bit of it and the Monaco Grand Prix should be on your bucket list.

This opulently decorated marble and bronze casino has all the glitz and glamour that has made this city famous.
Casino de Monte-Carlo is arguably the most well-known sight in Monaco. Free to enter and the slot machines are accessible to anyone over 18, but there is an entrance fee and dress code for the private rooms. Minimum bet is 5€.
