Such a nice relaxing place to taste some delicious beers. It's not too far from Mittagong town, or Bowral for that matter, with plenty of parking available, but you can walk it from the train station. The staff are so friendly and helpful on arrival, and they suggest ordering a paddle of taster beers to get a feel for their range. They do have around 10 or so beers on offer in schooner and middy sized glasses as well, and even a few takeaway beers if needed. They will also sell refillable containers if you want to take some home straight from the beer tap. There's a lovely range of beers here for all tastes, from light fruity beers to darker beers to a pilsner to a hoppy IPA, there's something for everyone. They also offer some homemade pies from the Gumnut Patisserie across the road, although you can just as easily walk over and buy any pies or pastries of your choice and bring them inside to eat.

Very tasteful and classy gallery, some beautiful wooden works of art. An inspiration of ideas in many of the items.

{ Please Book Online } artemiswines.com.au Everyone is welcome at our Cellar Door. It doesn’t matter how much or how little you know about wine, just sit back and enjoy personalised service from our friendly cellar door staff. We are passionate about wine and look forward to sharing our knowledge with you. The Artemis cellar door is the perfect environment to enjoy a tasting of our finely crafted wines, spirits and craft beer. It is a warm and welcoming haven in the chilly Southern Highlands winter. Taste our wines tucked up in front of the fire. In the summer our lush green lawn in front of the vines comes into its own. Bask under the shade of an umbrella while enjoying a glass or two Leashed pets are welcome in our outdoor areas.
Named after the Greek Goddess Artemis, the winery represents the elements of Artemis’ character such as creation and the harvest. Today, it is a family run businesses and the 7th generation winemakers have been in the Southern Highlands since 1996 and have an absolutely stunning vineyard not far from Mittagong, and 1.5 hours drive from the Sydney CBD.. Made using locally produced fruit and the region produces a range of complex cool climate wines. They practise a European wine style and approach to ripeness with focus on the individual flavour ripeness and small batch winemaking. Plenty of whites on offer, but they’re not for their reds and have a popular Pinot Noir. We loved the 2016 ‘CLOSE VINE’ PINOT NOIR at $50 a bottle but bought a cheaper option, the 2018 SAIGNEE (ROSE) which was a nice light wine. We recommend you too, head to the stunning property and find the Artemis cellar door and enjoy a tasting of wine wines, ciders, meads and beer. The wine tasting is $5pp (price removed if you purchase a bottle) to decide your favourite. The do host outdoor events and there’s plenty of food, from platters to wood fires pizzas and you can order wines by the glass or bottle. Whilst it might not be the time of the year to be doing this with the social distancing measures in place, out it in your bucket list. Since we’re all at home at the moment, you can get your favourite wines delivered instead! They’re delivering for free when you order 6+ bottles. 20 % off all wines too

Everything about this winery is great - the friendly staff that make the tasting experience so special, the wines that are very good and hard to choose what to buy and the complimentary cheese plate. Going are the days of free wine tasting. A lot of wineries now are charging to taste their wines but not at Tertini. Great wines that you will want to purchase with an exceptional staff.

The stunning Cellar Door is still in use as a Cellar Door on occasion and has an incredible sold wooden table that seats 20+ people. This remains in the Cellar Door as it is not light to move! It's a great place to enjoy breakfast, dinner or a glass of wine if the weather does not permit you to be outside. Outside there are great tables that overlook the exceptional view including loads of kangaroos that visit us each day. The high cathedral like ceiling of the cellar door and never ending views of the vines and Gibbergunnyah Reserve that expands forever, makes you feel like there is so much space around you. Luxuriate in the super comfortable king size bed with sheep's wool underlay and 600 thread count linen. There is a kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge so you can enjoy a great cup of tea, espresso or glass of wine on the verandah and watch the kangaroos nearby.Bathroom is newly renovated and comes with Espalma bath towels and toiletries. Be sure to visit us at Grand Bistro.
What an amazing an relaxing three days in the country. What it is: A beautiful building with amazing craftsmanship. A kitchen set up for two people with a full sized fridge and chef’s stove Surrounded by beautiful views, with lots of land to wander Inhabited by a gentle giant of an Australian wolf hound who is as sweet as he can be Visited almost every evening by gangs of kangaroos Set up with one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Blackout blinds on all the windows What is not: This is NOT the four seasons, it is a lovely working winery/farm As advertised: There is no Wifi, but the cell service works fine There is no a/c but there are fans and good screens on the sliding doors Approach it with an expectation of a lovely country setting with well decorated interior spaces and amazing views in a rustic setting. You will not be disappointed.

Brave statement: this is one of the THE most interesting short bush walks in NSW. The section of the track from the trail-head (at the car park near Mittagong) to the grand Lookout over the Nattai Valley is is also very family friendly. Because it follows faithfully the ruined tram-tracks of the Boxvale mine railway it is relatively flat. Also, speaking from years of experience with our two boys as they have grown up, kids find THIS WALK really interesting too, cos there is adventurous stuff to see not just Mum and Dad going all misty eyed over stunning views of the southern blue mountains... ...threading your way through old disused railway cuttings (like Casurina and Fern cutting, each a bit different from the last) you eventually reach the 80 meter long sandstone tunnel just blasted through a great shoulder of rock just before you get to the site of the old mine. Once there there is of course the amazing lookout and also a straight steep rock slope made for hauling the tram cars up laden with coal. One tip: do follow the signs (red trail blazes) closely becuase there are a couple of fire trails posing as gthe way ahead but you have to stick to the track and is dozen or so cuttings. Oh, and for those hard core bush walkers who pooh-pooh the idea of a nice doable 2 hour return walk along the relatively flat well made up track, head down the incline (using the steel rope) climb down to the valley floor and head back on a gem of a rough walking track that criss-crosses Kells Creek and arrives back at the base of the awesome 40 foot falls. You will need food water a decent map and maybe a compass for that trek. Took me and a couple of very serious bush walkers who normally do their walking in the Kimberley. a good 5-6 hours with stops for food etc. Knock yourself out...but seriously that is a tough walk and you do need someone who is experienced to go with you. as for the main Mine track walk back up top, well my 55 plus year old friends all managed it (with smile on face) ... and this time we saw a big wombat running along the cutting in broad daylight. Try it, its awesome
