The farmer’s market is open Thursday-Saturday. I make weekly visits to the meat market, salads counter and the bakery. Great donuts and soft pretzels too. There is also a custom made furniture showroom.

(302) 378-2754Strawberry Farm, Asparagus Farm, Pumpkin Patch, & Farm Market
We are fairly new to the area and first went here to pick strawberries and really enjoyed it and we have since gone back to get lots of other produce. Love the white corn they have and everything is so fresh! The family is so friendly too. We enjoy going there and has become our regular go to for our produce.

Place is awesome. A solid acre+ for both small and large dogs. Seems that there is always at least a few dogs there. People are really good about cleaning up after their dogs. A fountain for the dogs to get a drink. A couple of benches spread around to sit should you get tired. Well thought out and maintained. Free to all!

The Everett Theatre is best known as one of the locations used in the 1989 film Dead Poets Society, but it's also a charming center of live community theatre productions as well as first-run and classic movies.
The theatre originally opened in 1922 as a movie and vaudeville house and still retains much of its vintage charm. The pipe organ has been replaced with a modern theatre organ that is used to accompany silent films.
The Everett is located in the center of Middletown's historic main street and is well worth a visit.

Frightland is the premiere haunted attraction scream park in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Located in Middletown, Delaware, Frightland offers 8 different haunted attractions that made Travel Channel call us a "Top 10 Scariest Haunted Attraction in the US". Visit us and find out why Forbes called us one of the Scariest Haunts in America.
4 haunted houses, plus 4 different attractions on a haunted hayride. All of which are pretty good. They get your blood pumping. Carnival rides are available for the little ones, along with lots of carnival food. The only downer is the price. It can get a little expensive, it's best to hold out for the 1/2 price tix. Local radio stations offer them, and occasionally Groupon.

My Cub Scout pack comes here for their hayride/bonfire event. The kids love riding in the wagons during the hayride. Coleman's knows how to run these events. My family will also come here to get pumpkins during the fall, a lot of choices.

We went to Jump On Over for the first time this week. We had won passes for Open Jump Time in a raffle, so it didn't cost us anything (except the cost of the raffle ticket).
First of all, I would say that finding Jump On Over is not the easiest. It is NOT located on a major roadway. Rather it is tucked back into a sort of industrial park off of 301. There were NO signs on 301 showing you where to turn. So, just know you have to turn at the Tractor Supply. Once you do get back to where the actual building is, there is still not obvious sign. Only clue is that they have their Jump On Over van parked beside the building. Terrible signage. The front of the building doesn't even have a sign, except the small decals on the doors.
Once inside, we were greeted by an employee. We informed her that it was our FIRST visit here. She welcomed us and had me sign a waiver for the kids to play. Then we were instructed to take our shoes off and put them in the cubbies on the wall. We were told that there were arcade games to play in addition to the inflatables. We were informed that we could purchase a play card starting at $1 value if we decided to play any games. We were also informed that the front 2 play areas were for children aged 2 & under. My kids were disappointed because this was the one that was Mickey/Minnie Mouse themed. We were then told to go ahead on in and play. I noticed a pump of hand sanitizer on the counter at the entrance, but we were NOT instructed to use it. I thought they would have made sure each kid used it before entry. We had arrived at opening, so we were the first customers of the day & had the whole play place to ourselves for at least a good half hour.
Inside they had several HUGE inflatable play areas: a big slide, a pirate ship slide, an open circular bounce house, a big slide/maze and a smaller house with small slide inside it. My kids enjoyed the big slide the most, but also liked the open circular bounce house/wrestling ring. I liked these 2 play areas as well as they were open & you could see your kids while they played.
However, the huge maze slide in the back was terrible. The kids climb up a wall and go over it. Once they go over that wall, you CANNOT see them and they CANNOT see you. You will not see them again until they come down the slide with the hanging tubes. One of my kids went over the wall and got scared. She started crying and screaming for Mommy. No employee came to check on her. Thank goodness my other child was able to go help her find her way out.
In addition to the inflatables, they did have several arcade games, grab it machines, skee ball, mini basketball game and an air hockey table. We did NOT play these games as most of them were priced at $1 each. There were a select few that were $0.50. They also have a party room in the back should you want to host a birthday party here. Throughout the inflatables room they also had several chairs for parents to sit while their children played. Restrooms were in the back & seemed clean.
For the one price, you can play all day. I read online that you could leave and come back later in the day too. However, no one at the center informed us of this policy or offered us a hand stamp of any kind to come back. I was hoping for a snack bar with pizza, nachos, hot dogs or some sort of real food so we could spend several hours here. However, the only food items offered for sale were snacks: chips, cookies, apple sauce pouches, fruit snacks, etc. They also had an ice cream case with pre-packaged frozen treats.
Overall, I thought the place was bright and colorful. Inflatables generally appeared clean in the areas where the kids play. They were in good shape for the most part. Pirate ship inflatable looked a little worn where the kids go in and out of it. Also, if you looked UP at the tops of the inflatables, they were DUSTY. They need to be cleaned. Carpeting looked a little faded. Floor was clean for the most part, however, I did find candy (mike & ikes) on the floor in spots where they had missed. I felt that was a safety concern, as a toddler could easily pick it up and choke on it. My kids also found candy wrappers inside the pirate ship. Staff did NOT engage the children at all once they were admitted into the play space. No one was checking to make sure the kids were safe. There were 3 employees there & ALL of them stayed behind the counter. No one was patrolling the actual play area for safety. I witnessed one little girl repeatedly sliding down the huge slide on her belly and climbing over the wall to go back up the slide instead of walking around to the entrance. She was also going on the slide with a lollipop (with a stick on it) in her mouth. NOT safe for her OR the children around her, not to mention the potential for things to become sticky. Only once did I see an employee meekly say, "don't do that" as she was walking by the slide & the girl was climbing over the wall. Employee did NOT address the lollipop sticking out of her mouth on the inflatable. So, I felt that was a safety concern. Another area of concern was the red mat that laid in front of the open bounce house/ring. It was not sitting flush to the floor, making it a tripping hazard. One of my children did trip over it, which is what brought my attention to this hazard.
Bottom Line: OK play place. My kids had fun here for about an hour before one of my kids grew bored & was ready to go. The other child seemed to still be enjoying the big slide so we played for about another 30 minutes. Kids said they liked it, but not as much as the trampoline parks we normally go to. I might give it another try as it was NOT terrible, but there are some safety concerns that keep me from whole-heartedly wanting to go back.
Note: Jump On Over also offers inflatables for party rentals.

Stopped here with the kids since we were doing some shopping in Middletown. The park is not too far from the Walmart, so I thought it would be a good place to stretch their legs on a nice day. Entering the park, you pass a Dog Park. The playgrounds are at the back of the park. Once you get to the playground parking lot, you have to walk pretty far to get to the playgrounds, which is inconvenient with toddlers. There are 2 playgrounds...one for small kids and one for bigger kids. There is also a fishing pier (catch & release only) & some pavilions.
Overall, an OK park. The kiddie playground was good enough for a short playtime. There are a few small slides, see saw and a spring toy. I did not see any swings.
Port-a-Potty on site IF needed.

We stopped in here during the Peach Festival 2015. We had seen it advertised in the local paper. I did not even know it was here. There was a sign out front of the building that day that advertised an exhibit and the door was open. Plus the ladies at a table out front told us we could go on in to the museum. This was around 9am.
Once inside, we were greeted by a few people. They had one room set up with peach baked goods for sale. Another room was dedicated to memorabilia from the various wars. We were also told that there were exhibits on the 3rd floor (stairs). So, we made our way upstairs after looking around the ground level. At the top of the stairs, a gentleman welcomed us. He told us that they had a children's Please Touch room & that the kids could play with all the toys in there if they wanted too. They were newer toys that were designed to look like period toys. Down the hall was a "Downtown Abbey" room that had a sewing machine, organ and sofa in it. Through the next door there was a classroom and also a side dedicated to the peach. They lad in this room told us that they were NOT open yet. She said they opened at 10am. I told her that we had been told to go on in. She said to go ahead and look around, but she could NOT give me a tour. She did however, tell us that this building was once a school house. She also told the kids about the peaches and showed them a pie cover. She also showed them some of the pies that she had baked the night before.
We decided to leave after a quick look around the peach room, since we had been told that they were closed. We did stop back later on in the day. A lady downstairs showed the kids a big sand box where they could do an archeological dig & discuss the items they found. This time we also used the restrooms on location & they were clean.
Overall, we had a good experience with the Middletown Historical Society Museum. We did enjoy the exhibits that we saw. Most of the staff were friendly. I did not like being told that they were closed after we were welcomed in by several other staff. (We even had a gentleman open up the kids play room for us!) So, I am deducting a rating star for feeling like we were not really welcome in the final leg of our tour, which caused us to leave prematurely.
Note: Hours of operation are limited. Open EVERY Friday 9am-4pm, 1st Saturdays 9am-Noon & 3rd Wednesdays 1pm-4pm. OR you can just visit during the annual Peach Festival.

Saw the sign for the park and thought we would check out the park. Behind the sign is an elementary school and school parking lot. If you pull into the school parking lot, there is an athletic field beside the parking lot. I did NOT see an actual park with playgrounds for the kids or walking trails. Did not stay to explore any further since school is NOT out of session yet. Website says there is a public pool behind the school with daily rates $3 or you can buy a membership.
