Northeast Paddleboard Company

Only 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, the Northeast Paddleboard Company is Pittsburgh's favorite place to paddle. Located along the bike trail on the Youghiogheny River in Elizabeth Township, we have the perfect set up for all of your paddleboarding needs. Our river is a clean lil thing, flowing northwest (cool fact: one of only a few rivers that flow south to north) from Youghiogheny Lake. Our stretch of water is mostly 3-4 feet deep, with a sandy bottom and an occasional rock. Nothing scary down there! Not a fan of the river? We’ve heard that one before. Come check it out, we promise it’s much different than the mighty Monongahela. Open daily from April - October, we offer paddleboard rentals, lessons, SUPYoga classes, on-water meditations, kid's camps, and more. A variety of packages are available for birthdays, special occasions, sports teams, & interest groups. If you dream it up, we can make it happen. First timer? No worries! All of our instructors are super safe. CPR and 1st Aid certifications are a must, as well as water safety experience. Laid back with a knack for conversation, our instructors will have you feeling comfortable on your board in no time. BRING THE FAMILY! Outlaws, in-laws, everyone is welcome. Paddleboarding is open to all ages. Beginners to experienced paddlers, we have the right equipment for you. Our fleet is up to 16 paddleboards and growing, including 2 race boards for you speedy types. Rentals include paddleboards + all safety equipment (we like to keep our Swedish Fish Commission happy!). Want to wear your princess tiara? Hula hoop on your board? Sport a fake mustache? We're cool with all that, and we probably have extra... If you're looking for an all day adventure or a couple of hours to unwind after work, the Northeast Paddleboard Company has you covered. We might not be oceanfront, but you can't tell us that ... with 36 tons of sand around our Board Shop, hammocks, a fabulous restaurant and bar next door ... you get the idea! This staff will make you laugh and keep you coming back for more. We love our paddle people. Bring your crew - new friends, old friends, we're all friends in the sandbox. Call us with questions, or just to say hey! We're stoked to hear from you. Peace, Love, & Paddleboard!

I regret that it took me 10 years to visit the Rose Garden once gearing about it. My husband and I visited on impulse on a hazy June afternoon, and we had a lovely, relaxing time enjoying the many roses varieties, specimen trees and shrubs, and many other flowering annuals. Definitely worth visiting.
