This cute little farm and vineyard specializes in muscadine wines which are generally sweet, almost like a dessert wine. They actually make their wines from two different vineyards, so similar styles will sometimes have radically different tastes and profiles, which allows them to have 12 or 13 different types of wine for the tasting, which is a great deal. The owner allowed us to look around the farm, too, meeting Vinny and some other cows who are extremely cute! An added bonus is all the lovely photography that the owner's daughter takes of the farm, the animals, and the vineyard, really adding to the experience.

The most beautiful place on earth. Cades Cove has been a family tradition for many years. My parents took me starting when I was little, then when my two oldest boys were little, we drove the loop every other weekend. The weeks we didn't, we camped at the campground there. We moved away when the youngest was in kindergarten. But go back every time we can.

This park is very nice. We used to have the Foothills Fall Festival here at the amphitheater in the park. It was a three day concert and crafts festival. They had great performers such as; Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Lynrd Skynrd, Reba, Alan Jackson, etc.
We would love for the Fall Festival to return!!

I visited Bluetick Brewery with my husband and some friends. I guess I wasn't sure what to expect. The place is like an old garage or storage place. It is kind of cool. People bring their dogs and the business has a mascot named appropriately "Blue". I think he is a bluetick hound. Anyway, if you aren't a fan of draft beer, bring your own drink.

Foothills Mall located in Maryville, TN features JC Penney, Sears, Belk, TJ Maxx and dozens of specialty shops. You can relax and catch a movie or dine at Cancun Mexican restaurant or Far East Buffet.
My wife & I spent a couple of hours shopping for a wedding gift for a friend & just walking through the mall window shopping on a Sunday afternoon waiting to go see a movie. Was glad to see some new tenants in some of the closed stores & see more people shopping/walking throughout the mall. Hope things continue to improve for everyone.

We were married at the capitol in October and were very impressed with its beauty, the knowledge of the management, and the music / video system. The downstairs man cave is absolutely amazing. The ceremony and reception occur in the same space with DJ included....MoreThank you!

Sam Houston was only 18 when he taught here in 1812. I found it interesting that the school was for students from the age of 6 - 60 and the tuition was $8 (sometimes paid 1/3 in corn, 1/3 in calico, and 1/3 in cash).
We drove a little bit out of our way to see this historic place and I'm not sure it was worth it. The visitors center has a nice little museum but the schoolhouse itself was a letdown. You had to stand in the doorway to look at things or look through some plexiglas windows they put in and they were not very clean. I would recommend checking online and going when they are having special events there.

The place is mostly furniture (we don't usually look for furniture) and it had very few collectibles. The reason I rated it very good even though it didn't have the type of things we look for is the variety of furniture they had (some pieces I have never seen before). They did have a tin windup pig toy I would have bought but I already had one. As much as I love toys and pigs I really didn't need another one (and the price was lower than what I paid for mine).

Didn't find much selection here that wasn't overpriced, or anyone who seemed to want to make a deal. A lot of very high priced merchandise.

This was a quaint little theatre for this jazz performance. The lighting was sufficient. The stage decorations were a bit drab. But the entertainers lit it up! Annie & The Hot Club was just AMAZING! The acoustics were very adequate for this performance. It was quaint and close for such a performance. Twas like a notch up from a living room concert. :D Very fun! Would definitely keep my eyes out for future performances at this sweet little theatre. The price of the tickets were only $15 at the door. First come first serve ~ you were issued a post-it note upon which your name was written & you went and located your seat and left it on the arm of the seat you wanted. There were several restaurants within walking distance, but unless you had reservations ~ you'd be out of luck! Fortunately Barley's, across the street from the Palace Theatre has extended bar seating.
