This Classical Renaissance-style Cathedral dating back to 1915 features a splendid interior of six chapels, imported marble columns, large statues of the four evangelists and beautiful rose windows.

It's a whole dollar more now, all of 3 dollars, but this little theater is a remodeled gem in the neighborhood. It isn't fancy, but clean and well maintained. I saw The BFG with 5 other people on a Wednesday afternoon. If 3 dollars is still too much, go on Tuesday, when it's only 2.

The dog park is only a small portion of Battle Creek Regional Park which is run by Ramsey County Parks. A lot of interest connecting Parks starting right off hway 61. Great for walking, picnics, pets on leash, bicycling etc. Lots of running water, streams... Very peaceful and enjoyable. Pictures will tell the story.

The Science Museum of Minnesota is well-known for its hands-on approach to science learning and entertainment. It features the popular Experiment Gallery, an Egyptian mummy, an authentic Mississippi River towboat, a convertible-dome Omnitheater and interactive exhibits for all ages!
My son is an avid learner and for his 12th birthday we took him to the Science Museum of Minnesota. He loved the third floor with the interactive experiments. He loves dinosaurs but he just walked through that room quickly because the physics and chemistry experiments outside were irresistible! We watched the IMAX movie 'Dream Big' and it made me want to become a civil engineer!

Fright Farm Haunted House: the legendary horror experience! Consistently named by local media among the best and scariest haunted attractions in Minnesota. For more than two decades, Fright Farm has provided frightening scenes in a blend of horror, local legend, and folklore for tens of thousands of people. Located among the relics of the Ramsey County Poor Farm and Cemetery in a massive, historic barn, Fright Farm takes place in the heart of the east metro just one mile south of Highway 36 at White Bear Avenue in Maplewood, Minnesota. Kicking off its 21st season on October 6, Fright Farm Haunted House is open from 7 p.m. To 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night in October as well as October 31.
My wife and a friend of ours traveled to St. Paul for the Fright Farm. We heard positive reviews, so we were looking forward to it. It was a quick walk from the parking lot. They have a few activities outside and music playing. We got there around 7:30 and the line went quick (15 minutes). The haunted house featured awesome set designs and was beyond my expectations. As for the scares, our group wasn’t really scared. It was just my wife frightened due to the actors always making loud noises, not really jumping out to scare. I feel it could have been better if the actors jumped out and ran around more versus always banging on something for a jump scare.

This venue holds a surprising amount of concert goers, so they attract a lot of big name performers. Because it isn't an arena, you get a much more intimate experience with the performers. The layout provides excellent sight lines for almost everyone that attends. There are numerous bars around the venue...just be prepared to have to work a bit to get back to your group.I have never done the VIP or suite tickets before. I cannot imagine those being worth the money unless there is a meet and greet or free merch attached to the offer. People get in line 3+ hours before doors open for the big name artists, so prepare accordingly if you want to be really close.
The last concert I attended here, the doors were late being opened by 25 minutes. The weather was bitterly cold and the ticket holders were forced to stand that extra 25 minutes in blustery conditions on the ice-covered parking lot. Be mindful of the weather if you are going to get there early.
Lastly, if you park out near the street you will be able to leave quicker. Parking closer to the building will cause a much longer wait when you are ready to leave.

Old, wealthy St. Paul neighborhood with Victorian mansions.
We love driving down or strolling this avenue. Great majestic homes, most well kept or very nicely restored. Large shady trees grace both sides. F. Scott Fitzgerald once lived here, Garrison Keillor now does. The Minnesota Governor's home is here as well. Summit Avenue parallels Grand Avenue mecca of urban shopping. There is also a bike lane along Summit so the pleasure on a bike can be had as well.
