My guide, Rajib, a well known local travel agent, had listed this gallery as a must see place. I am glad we spent time there. We met Mr Budhimanta, the son of Mr RKCS, who was in the midst of painting a Manipuri dance visual. He graciously escorted us thru out. There are 3 - 4 rooms. Each a delight. The artworks reflect the rich culture and heritage of Manipur. Whilst they are paintings, they are so lifelike that you visualise yourself in each scenario as if its happening in front of you. There are portraits, scenes of British rule, war scenes during WW2, royal scenes and of course dance visuals. Many more. There is the installation art by the grandson which i loved: a collection of the maestro’s brushes and another of the used oil colour tubes. We saw fascinating works of Mr Budhimanta: miniatures of famous people painted on the inside of a shell, the size of a finger nail. Totally clear and identifiable. There were about a dozen bottles where he had done paintings from the inside , inverse style, so that what you saw outside was perfect. He has taken the boxes of oil paint tubes and then painted the reverse side making a wonderful vertical collage. Spend time and enjoy each piece. Read the captions. You will not regret the time spent.

A must visit place for all nature and adventure lover. The best time to visit this place is early June to end of September. The famous dzukou Lily blooms at early June. There are two routes to reach the place.one is zakhama route and another one is Biswema route. The ascend from Zakhama route is the tougher and harder. If one loves hard core trek and adventure ,then he/she must opt for this route. It's Worth the toil. One can get captivating views of dense tropical rain forest over this route.on the other hand, the Biswema route is competitively easier as it's steep only for a stretch of 45minutes to 1hour.Everybody can more or less access this route quite easily. It takes 6/7hours to reach dzukou point via Zakhama route while via Biswema route it take 4/5 hours.on Dzukou point there is only one dormatory..Most of the time ,it remains overcrowded. The only food ,you can get here is Rice,Dal, Potato Curry and only if the supplies remain continued ,then pork Curry..The food is served on first come first serve basis..It is advisable that one should try to avoid the stay at the overcrowded Dom.. Instead one can stay in a tent on the helipad ground..it will marvelous both viewwise as well as decisionwise..you will get perfect thirll of adventure and from here one would get the entire view of the valley. The must do here is to visit the valley early in the morning , otherwise your trip will remain incomplete. The valley is just mesmerizing.

This is WRONGLY posted as in Bengal. This National Park is in Manipur, close to Imphal. As others have said - this is the only floating national park in the world, and the best time to visit is early morning. We had a great time there, and saw a few Sangai deer. The entry fee is nominal, and the guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He provided binoculars and a telescope for us, and took us on a short trip on the narrow boat. Although he was a volunteer, he was so interested in sharing all the information. We are glad we made this trip, although we had never heard of it before.

The Fort is surely the centerpiece of Imphal town - the region appears to be built around the Fort. It is just beautiful! I would strongly advise you to opt for a ride in their battery car alongwith their guide. The area is vast and is no use without a guide unless you go only for three pleasant walk-about. And the guided battery car is so inexpensive! Even with the battery car it would take you about an hour to go around, take pictures, pause at various locations and savour the peace and quiet. No use saying more, except that you must visit it!
