Myddfai Community Hall & Visitor Centre is a lottery funded state of the art Centre, built in 2011, set in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. It has huge hall, ideal for conferences, parties and Weddings as it now also has a Civil Ceremony Licence. There is a lovely café and gift shop at the Centre, both open 6 days a week (closed Mondays- but open Bank Holiday Mondays) There are several interpretation boards covering the History and Heritage of Myddfai village- covering the Physicians of Myddfai and the legend of 'The Lady of the Lake'. There are many lovely walks in the area and the beautiful St Michael's Church is just next door and definitely worth a visit.
Very welcoming cafe and gift shop with a range of tasteful handmade gifts at reasonable prices. Also a visitor's centre with good information about the area. Highly recommend. Check opening times especially out of season.

Located near to the town's central car park, this small museum and visitor centre is well worth a short amount of your time. While the information and exhibits may be what you would expect from this type of resource, it is the staff and volunteers who make calling in worthwhile. This is a dog-friendly stop.

The Blue Bell is a traditional pub with great real ales and a friendly atmosphere.

The drive from Llandovery is down narrow lanes but there is little traffic. The walk at the reserve is rugged through the gorge but it is well worth the effort as it is dramatic. Woodland is mainly mature oak and this makes it very atmospheric. Bird life as you wish at an RSPB reserve, our highlight was Peregrine perched cliff watching the gorge.

Located alongside the Norman built motte and bailey castle ruin Is there a statue or monument anywhere in Wales (or anywhere else for that matter) that is more symbolic and iconic than this amazing work of art. The Man8c Street Preachers obviously think so as it’s featured in their most recent album video.
