Every neighborhood in San Francisco has its own personality, from the hippie chic of the Upper Haight to the hipster grit of the Mission. The Marina district boasts trendy bistros and postcard-perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge, while Noe Valley offers quaint and quiet boutiques. Wave hello to the sea lions at Pier 39, and sample local cheese and charcuterie at the Ferry Building. Sit in on a yoga session in Dolores Park or marvel at the Dutch Windmill across from Ocean Beach.

Hiking lands end to cliff house, with stop fir Sutro Baths is great way to appreciate wilds if SF. You can go as far as you want, have a nice meal or enjoy picnic-or snacks You can stay on cliffs or take sandy stairs down. Take left at crossroads— no sign. Ask people. Great view if city & inspiring maze. Even tho gorgeous fall day— not windy or cold, not too many folks on a Friday

An outstanding collection of European art in a gorgeous hilltop museum setting.
This is a gorgeous setting and a neo classical building of some size and impressiveness. Besides the appropriately morbid and sad holocaust memorial in front and the massive statue of the Thinker ( Rodin) as you enter the courtyard, there is a very selective on going exhibit of European paintings among other displays. But right now there is the Early Rubens exhibit and it is breath taking and highly instructional if you want to know more about the evolution of that painter. I went into it and was captivated. So basically, if this sounds like something you'd be interested in, I would strongly urge you to go see it.

Located at the westernmost point of Lands End, the Sutro Historic District encompasses Sutro Heights, the Sutro Bath ruins and the historic Cliff House.
What a history! It's a National Park, and the Wild Birds are Plentiful Too bad the fog (Karl) was hanging around. The waves are rushing, birds are all about, and the paths to see many views is plentiful. Loved this Experience! A bonus was the National Park Store!

Exploring Lands End Costal Trail, we can across a stairway plunging down toward the water that transported us to a beautiful and isolated beach replete with stacked rock art. From the beach, you feel like you are in a remote area blanketed by the sound of breaking surf, the only civilization in view is across the Golden Gate. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Point Reyes. From some points, you can glimpse the GG Bridge. It feels magical to find this natural solitude in San Francisco. A very special place. Recommended you go on sunny clear days to get the full majesty of the panorama. There are about 260 stairs, but they are well maintained and if you are in moderate shape, should be east to navigate. There are 3 locations where stairs have failed and you need to take a double step, but overall I would rate the path as doable for most adults and older children.

Challenging and fun course, measuring only 5,146 yards at par 68, doesn't challenge the long-hitters but perfect for newcomers to the game.

This was the first Camera Obscura I had ever visited or heard of. Still my favorite primarily due to the location. Fascinating mix of history and nature and just plain mesmerizing. I have since traveled to many Camera Obscuras in the world. Well worth the money and well worth the time.
