National Museum of Industrial History
Terrific museum in the old Electrical Machine Shop of the Bethlehem Steel works. Some incredibly well-preserved pieces of American industrial history, including an old Corliss machine that has been restored to working order and is run at special events. Knowledgeable and obliging staff, a number of whom volunteer their time. The museum is an affiliate of the Smithsonian.

Had the opportunity to see a game in the picnic area several times and had a great time! The picnic food was good - all the foods you’d expect at a picnic. Tables set up good to watch the game. The park is clean and a really fun atmosphere for a ball game. Loved it!

We visited on first Friday of October. Since Covid is keeping visitors away, it wasn't crowded. We were given a tour by Rich Greene. This gentleman had a passion for cars and their history. We learned so much about the first Ford vehicles and Hudsons. We also visited across the street at RB Collections where they restore classic cars. Al R. also provided us with information regarding the work they do restoring vehicles. It was fantastic. If you plan on visiting make sure it's on Wednesday and Friday when Mr. Greene is there. You won't regret it. The museum was great also.

SteelStacks is a ten-acre campus in Bethlehem, PA, dedicated to arts, culture, family events, community celebrations, education and fun. The campus is in the shadow of the blast furnaces of the former Bethlehem Steel plant.
Take an old steel plant and make it into an arts venue and you have the coolest, eclectic event and arts center that makes you proud to be a part of the Lehigh Valley. So much to do from movies, to concerts- both small and large, plays, food, drinks, learning, art, you name it. I just love everything about Artsquest.

My parents introduced me to the fish hatchery as a little tyke and they continued this tradition by taking my kids there, I love this place. I used to drive my bike there from Emmaus as a teenager to get away from life. If you want to find some solace and/or listen to children's happiness, spend an hour at the fish hatchery. Go to the little house on the east end to pickup some fish food and enjoy the little museum they have, go for a stroll along the Little Lehigh River and the Lehigh Parkway, just sit and enjoy some tranquility. This is the epitome of an "off the beaten path" get away. If you have kids, it's a must.

We enjoyed our very first American League hockey game between the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Hershey Bears. Lively atmosphere, clean facility and do much to see and do. Terrific atmosphere and activities & contests throughout the game. Only complaint was the “smoke show” prior to puck drop. Not necessary. But that’s a minor concern. Great value and lots of fun.

Lots of delicious choices - fresh meats, veggies, fruit, nuts, fish, coffees, ice cream, candies, pastries - it’s all here! Some stands have ready to eat prepared meals to eat on site or take out. There’s even a natural doggie treat store! Open Thurs, Fri, and Sat only. Definitely worth the trip! Find your favorite. I suggest Heffelfinger’s coffees and Stolzfus meats. But seriously, soooo many great shops to try! Take your shopping bags!

In June of 2001, I lost my son Joseph shortly after birth. Lehigh Valley hospital had a program where at their expense you have the option of sprinkling your babies ashes there. If you ever notice, back by the one gazebo towards the stream is a plaque in the ground stating here lies my child. Some may feel uncomfortable with my decision, but for me there is no other place i would like to pay my respects to my son Joseph because he lies with beautiful roses, baby birds flying. Very comforting to me to visit him there. The only thing that is missing are the harps playing angel music. So next time you visit or visit for the 1st time know they are angels guiding over of of you. ????????❤

My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend in Bethlehem and the Hoover Mason Trestle was a highlight. The walking tour is self-guided with excellent signage detailing the rise, dominance and downfall of Bethlehem Steel. I've always heard of Bethlehem Steel but never understand its place in the American business landscape until this trip.
