Low-key Legian is the picture of relaxation. Just about the only action the beach gets is from the evening fire spinners, whose quick hands pass orange balls of light through the sky. Surfers, body boarders and sunbathers share the calm sands happily. There are plenty of markets, cafes and restaurants to satisfy your cravings for merchandise and meals. If you itch to mingle with locals, you might be able to join in the game of football that happens nightly on Blue Ocean Beach.

Named after the Balinese word for "sweet and pleasant," Legian Beach is a popular destination for sun worship and water sports.
I have a soft spot for Legian Beach. It remains true to its roots, it's a great place to hang out, watch the sunset, try your hand at surfing, grab something to eat, grab a massage, do some shopping, it hasn't changed in years and that's what I love.

This street that connects Seminyak with Kuta isn't just a venue for pulsating nightlife. It's also an excellent spot for some retail therapy, what with its collection of jewelry and clothing shops.
Found walking along Jalan Legian to be a fascinating experience. Lots of miniature stores to haggle, and plenty of opportunities to interact with the locals. Massage parlours, street cafes and 24/7 convenience stores with over the counter alcohol abound in this busy and bustling street.

Garlic Lane is famous in Bali, I believe because it is central, easy to get to...but more importantly, becase is sells one of everything, and has a set price shop ot the back "Bali Kmart" where you can brouse without being hasseled, and know what the price is. If you don't have much time to shop during your Bali trip, come here and get eveything you want in one place. Shoppers heaven. The "Lady Boy Show" upstairs from the restaurant is a really great night out too.
