Boasting Tudor revival architecture, a Bavarian Village style shopping area, an annual Bavarian Christmas celebration and one of the largest Oktoberfest celebrations outside of Munich, Leavenworth offers up a little slice of Germany in the center of its spectacular Pacific Northwest landscape. The town boasts many tours, wine tasting rooms and even a museum of nutcrackers from the ancient to the quirky. Nearby Alpine Lakes Wilderness offers adventures in biking, hiking, skiing and more.

Leavenworth Reindeer Farm is a USDA licensed farm located less than 1/2 mile from downtown Leavenworth. We provide farm tours for the whole family by appointment only. Come meet our friendly reindeer, feed them and take photos of a magical experience on the farm.
The reindeer farm was absolutely amazing. They greet you upon arrival with offers of hot cocoa and a warm fire. They introduce you to their furry farm friends. The tour starts with a learning session about reindeer. Hans was very funny. I enjoyed his jokes.. I had the absolute most fun feeding dear, sweet Elsa by hand. We will be back with all our children and I will be recommending this farm to everyone I know. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

The drive along the river is beautiful. Lots of places to hike down to the river. Lots of camping. If you have a rugged car, the drive to the end (14 miles) is worthwhile. The river is beautiful in the winter.

Situated between Highway 2 and the river is a nice rv park. The park is very clean and the sites are easy to get into. The road noise can be a problem sleeping along with the nearby train tracks. There is also a day use area in the park. The park is very well kept and worth at least one night.

This pretty park, full of walking paths and viewing areas, is just a short walk away from downtown Leavenworth.
We were visiting Leavenworth in November and decided to take a stroll in Waterfront Park. Much of it was flooded but the parts that weren't were really fun to walk around. Beautiful views and some good bird watching. Recommend!

This urban park hosts lots of outdoor activities year round.
Visiting Leavenworth a week before Christmas and it was very crowded village with Christmas lighting at the village center. We're so lucky to get white Christmas since there was heavy snow one day before we arrived there; thus all Leavenworth was covered with white powder snow. It was beautiful view in the afternoon and night as the Christmas lighting lit up the city. It's a worth visit during Christmas time and don't forget to try best hot dog at Munchen Haus.

While experiencing downtown Leavenworth, Washington and the outdoor playground of our beautiful mountain valley, visit our tasting room to enjoy Icicle Brewing Company's refreshing brews. Our tasting room overlooks our craft brewery where our Head Brewer, Dean Priebe has masterfully combined the pristine waters of the Icicle River with only the freshest ingredients to craft fresh and flavorful ales and lagers for your enjoyment. Cheers! All ages welcome until 10pm!
We always go to Icicle Brewing on our Leavenworth visits. Love sitting outside and having wine or beer and their meat and cheese tray. Relaxing and fun atmosphere, great location to people watch! They offer standing heaters outside too if the weather is on the cooler side. Like that it is dog friendly, too!

The setting is absolutely beautiful. The actors and actresses were outstanding, as was the orchestra which also seemed to be made up of local musicians. Leavenworth has much to be proud of. We watched the "Sound of Music" on July 20. A little advice, check the weather to see what the temperature will be at 10;30 pm, and dress appropriately. It was rather cool and a jacket felt nice. My wife bought a sweatshirt which was sold on site. I highly recommend the Leavenworth Summer Theater. It put an exclamation point on our trip to Washington!

This State Park offers camping, swimming and more where the Columbia and Wenatchee rivers meet.
Wenatchee Confluence State Park is a great place to hang out whether it's camping, picnicking, hiking, or whatever fun one likes to do. It is practically in Wenatchee so you're not going to feel too far away from the city and in nature as much. Plenty of open space and Columbia River access are the main draws at this park. We spent most of the time walking the Horan Natural Area loop trail. Very easy 2 mile walk with lots of interpretive signs. You'll find it on the other side of the Wenatchee river from the main part of park. A short easy walk on the Apple Capital Loop Recreation trail is the beginning of the journey just off a small lot in the south area of the park. It can be found just before going through the main entry area. As usual, the Discover Pass is required here. Trail guides are available near the lot if one wants them. After crossing the Wenatchee River bridge, you'll find the main part of the Horan trail. As interesting as the signs are, I found the main attraction to be the namesake of the park itself. The two rivers meeting. If you're lucky, I'm sure you can run across some birds or animals. Not including dogs. The trail system is very dog friendly. In all, Wenatchee Confluence State Park is a great place to spend an afternoon.

With the beauty and majesty of the Cascade Mountain foothills as the backdrop for your experience at Silvara, it only takes a second for the stress of the outside world to leave you as you arrive. That's what owner and winemaker, Gary Seidler, saw when he decided to create his winery in this serene location. In the white of winter, as green takes over in the spring, or in the summertime with the wildflowers in full bloom, the crackle coming from stone fireplaces that frame our great-room, tasting room and outdoor patio say relax. Catch a live band outside in summer while you enjoy one of our cheese platters. Arrange a private tasting event. Or, plan to attend one of our gourmet winemaker dinners, offering a mouth-wowing food and wine pairing experience. We think you'll agree that Silvara Vineyards in Leavenworth is the perfect location for tasting award-winning wines that are smooth, bold and expressive and enjoying events that are truly personalized to your signature taste.
Enjoyed our visit to the tasting room. Really loved the Pinot Grigio and got a bottle. But I was especially surprised by the Syrah. Never have liked any in the past—too peppery. But this one...not at all like that. Bought my first bottle of this red.

I came here and tried a tasting and enjoyed the wide variety of spirits and flavors they offer. The pickle vodka, cherry whiskey and orange vanilla vodka were all very flavorful but my favorite was the cherry whiskey. I ended up taking home a 750ml bottle of cherry whiskey. This was a lot of fun to try. The staff are very knowledgeable about their different spirits and provide great service.
