With 2.5 miles of beautiful beaches, an iconic pier and lovely ocean vistas, Lauderdale by the Sea is a small community that attracts visitors from around the world. Here low-rise downtown buildings and mid-century modern architecture exude old Florida charm, even as they celebrate the town’s present-day connection to the ocean — most hotels, restaurants and shops are just a few minutes’ walk from Anglin’s Square, a charming oceanfront gathering place.

What a little treasure trove! This lovely shop has something for everyone...male, female, young and old... there is a gift, piece of jewellery, art work or beach accessory for everyone and caters for all budgets. Everything sold is topical to the area and supplied by local artists. The owner, Ina, was incredibly helpful and welcoming and I will definitely be going back to “Coast” on my next visit to town.

It is such a beautiful view of the ocean and beach and the people fishing from the end of the pier. You can sit on a bench and people watch.

We were staying close to Friedt Family Park but really never took the time to actually LOOK at it. Although it's small in area it provides numerous opportunities for families to bring their children to the park, basketball court and a number of tennis courts. We observed many families with their young children in the park section, a large group of young men playing basketball and all of the tennis courts in use with people sitting on the sidelines waiting to play. A great asset to Lauderdale by the Sea.
