We went to see the Christmas lights. OK for a small town display but since we were there during the weekdays nothing special was going on. Even the "craft village" was closed and the carillon has been off due to electrical problems for months. So the only thing to do was go visit the museum which has about a dozen dioramas depicting Foster's songs and I must say I was impressed with the attention to detail in them.

Florida's Premier Antique Mall Open 7 Days a Week, 9 am-5 pm. Housing 400 booths in 60,000 square feet air-conditioned building. Large Parking Lot. Free Entry. Free Parking.
We stopped on our way to Orlando; to stretch our legs and once again enjoy the "hunt" in this treasure trove.
On the way home, we stopped again to pick up the Victorian chair which caught our attention on the earlier visit. Luckily, it was still there; and luckier still, the booth owners were there and we were able to negotiate a better price.
This is a very large mall, with a large variety of items through which to browse. We almost always find quality pieces at very reasonable prices. Some items are (what we would consider) overpriced; but many are not and that's what makes the search so addicting.
The staff were, as usual, friendly and helpful.
One note: it is clearly marked that purses & backpacks are to be put into free lockers.
Apparently some reviewers are offended by this policy; but it certainly is not the Mall's fault that this is now the world in which we live.
This is a great facility to enjoy for a few hours, or much longer.

Are you ready for a new experience in the Lake City Area? We have the answer! This is a great place to have fun with your friends, or meet new friends; relax or just let your hair down and be you; or simply discover your inner artist. Bring your favorite bottle of wine or beverage, and paint along with our artist to create your own work of art that you will take home at the end of the evening.
I held my best friends birthday at the Lake City PWAT studio and it turned out better then expected!! Kelli taught the class and made it so easy my painting actually turned out really nice. The studio was so clean and well organized and the music was up beat and fun.

The 13,600-acre Big Gum Swamp Wilderness was designated by Congress in 1984. This large, nearly level area consists primarily of a poorly drained to very poorly drained freshwater swamp of cypress and gum. The surface is a thick, spongy mat of organic material, sluggishly cut by a few shallow sloughs. Longleaf and slash pine flatwoods with a dense understory of saw palmetto, gallberry, and bay form the perimeter of the swamp...
The roadway network meanders through the forest...so best to download the maps to avoid getting lost in their maze.

A small but nice museum that tells you the story of this region of the State.
It’s in an older house and each room is from a different period of the areas growth, with at least for me, the Civil War room being the most interesting and informative.
If you are in the Lake City area its worth the stop but also make sure to visit the Olustee Civil War Battlefield.

We are traveling across America in our RV. In 7 seven months these were the highest prices we saw anywhere for afternoon movies. Theater was fine as was the popcorn. Clean place with clean restrooms.

Halpatter is a fantastic location to visit with your friends or host an event. There are lots of yard games to play and fire pits to keep you warm. Chris, Jer, and Jonny have created an amazing establishment that celebrates local history. Each beer is created and named using local historical events, people, and even a local business. The employ a great staff that is helpful and friendly. They even have snacks available if you get hungry. Ask them to tell you about the beautiful brewery that was created and hand crafted by many Florida artists, including John Best. I recommend Chief's Beach, Seymore Finnegan, and Springfield 16. They usually run 15 to 16 rotating taps with seasonal beers.

Stopped on the way back from Augusta & play just the front nine. Fairways and greens were pretty good & the course has a very interesting layout. Water, beautiful, old oak trees, elevation and dog legs. I would play it again, anytime.

This mall isn't really worth stopping at unless you want to visit one of the specific stores or live in the area. However, the stores in it have a great selection of items available so if you are looking, you probably won't be disappointed!

This golf club features three courses with different themes.
Quail Heights has one of the cheapest games of golf you'll find. The course looks terrible, greens are mostly sand, fairways are rough also. The driving range is great though. If you are a beginner and don't want to spend the big bucks, this this great for you.
