Visited Fredericksburg to see Civil War battle sites The first we saw was Chancellorsville Battlefield. The Visitor Center was very interesting and had a lot of displays. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Learning the history of the battle and seeing where Stonewall Jackson was said to have been shot was extremely interesting, as was other information about him. I highly recommend visiting this site as well as the other battlefields in and around Fredericksburg.

Coyote Hole Ciderworks makes hard cider from 100% Virginia apples. We are located in the heart of Lake Anna in Mineral, Virginia. Come sample premium hard cider and food at our tasting room all year long. Occasionally enjoy food trucks, Open Mic, Trivia, live music, free outdoor movies, crafts, car shows and more, plus family games and holiday events.
My friends and I decided to check out this place after hearing there was a mobile escape room and pie eating contest. It was a gorgeous day to enjoy their outdoor patio. We had no idea what we wanted to try so what seemed like just another patron approached us and said we looked perplexed. I told her we had not been there before so she gave us some excellent recommendations. We ordered a flight and tried all 9 and read through the paper for each ones description from dry to sweet. All three of us picked the sweeter ones. We also had to try the apple cider donuts. They were great. The pie contest was hilarious and it ended with live music. We will definitely be back. I’ve shared our visit with several friends that want to go with us on the next visit. Thanks so much!

Lake Anna offers boating, fishing, hiking, and just all-around fun.
We visited for the day to do some hiking. Lots of trails to pick from. We really enjoyed the day. The trails were quiet this time of year. This park has swimming beaches, camping, cabin rentals, fishing, boating, and trails for horses. Friendly staff. Virginia has some of the best managed State Parks in the nation. Fun for families. Enjoy

Wilderness Run Vineyards is a farm based vineyard and winery in that offers live music, events, wine tastings, and a beautiful scenery to enjoy, with it's sister company, 1781 Brewing Company, located on the same property.
Beautiful farm with history, beer, wine, cigars, thunder storms and friendly staff. We went on a hot Thursday evening during July and enjoyed a bottle of their tasty Barolo blend along with quesadillas from the onsite food truck. My husband enjoyed a cigar purchased on site also in a section a smart business partner named Jen has set up in a former cargo container. A clever configuration opens up onto a covered patio with outdoor rugs and couches over the grass, where cigars can be enjoyed at your leisure. Jen pointed out a civi war plaque which marks the site where Stonewall Jackson had the emergency amputation of his arm.
