Cyril, the owner, and his team will share the passion of vinegar with you : he is a wine and vinegar maker. More than 60 traditional products (vinegars, wines, olive oils, and aperitifs) will lead you to unexpected tasting, such as a candied fig balsamic vinegar, or an olive oil, pressed from fermented olives and which is rarely produced in France. A treat for the eyes and the tastebuds, for the whole family !
Firstly, congratulations on being one of the very few shops open in Lagrasse on a rather miserable January weekday. Secondly, thank you for your amazingly cool shop, and your warm welcome - very informative but with no sales push. I asked you about what vinegar to use with chips!! On your recommendation we ended up buying the 15 year aged vinegar and it is fabulous! We will definitely be back to try your other flavoured vinegars and your balsamic vinegars, all of which look amazing. Thank you, we really enjoyed our visit.

A beautiful village in France with a historic abbey and peaceful riverside walks. Very busy with visitors during the summer and the shops still close for lunch. There are some nice restaurants and bars on the main street. About 35 km from Carcassonne.

Living in Carcassonne we only discovered this wonderful Abbaye on our doorstep today! Nestled in a lovely valley in the beautiful city of Lagrasse this really is a must see place, we had a fascinating visit within this gothic style Abbey and tales of Charlemagne are plenty with interesting videos and paper guides in several languages. To be honest you are just overwhelmed by the history in this building and the fantastic architecture. There are some amazing original wall paintings which are carefully preserved but easily seen. The preservation work is still in progress but so much has been achieved and sympathetically done. It is wonderful to see careful preservation of a once prosperous and grand building. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There is a nice little gift shop and cafe.
