My partner and I decided to make the most of the cloudy weather forecast by following the Seven Hanging Valley trail and were pleasantly surprised by the views and the change in weather. The winds along the coast disguise the suns rays so it’s important to have sun cream, plenty of water and take mini breaks/ snacks. In total it took 4 hours one way (including plenty of stops for photos along the way). We took the main roads back which only took us an hour and a half. Something to bear in mind when setting off on this trail is stopping for food, by the time we got to Praia da Marinha around 14:00 most restaurants were closed and due to reopen at 18:00/18:30. Additional: Carvalho Beach was a quiet secluded spot whereas Benagil Beach was relatively busy offering boat tours around the caves along the coast (starting from 10:00).

A huge and unused storage space in the region’s biggest winery - an authentic industrial place where the smells of wine hover around. Nearly everything was left untouched, even the rough dark old walls, while the integration of a perfect infrastructure for a modern art gallery with a gigantic light system went ahead. The result: 3.000 m² breathtaking contrast of space. Looking forward meeting you!

Wonderful Sea cave with small beach in it and a hole in rooftop which lets the sun shine in and dives and fills the hole place in an amazing sphere. We took the boat trip to several caves but this one, the Benagil is my favorite. Don’t miss it, it’s a must ????

Morgado do Quintao is one of the oldest vineyards in the Algarve and focus exclusively in growing premium wines from indigenous grape varieties, like the region's famous Negramole. The large estate was founded by the count of Silves in the early 1800's and is still in the possession of the family. We welcome guests who are passionate about food & wine.
Good food, nice wines, beautiful place, nice staff. We had a great afternoon and even the weather was super!

Reopening on the 1st of june 2021. With a total area of 10 hectares, the park offers many aquatic entertainments for all tastes and ages, as well as lawns or sun loungers, areas with animal shows, massage and fish spa, several restaurants and a shop. Slide & Splash guarantees the visitor the best possible fun, always with the maximum conditions of safety, hygiene and comfort, in accordance with the preventive measures to the pandemic situation.
Great fun for all ages, me and my sister enjoyed all the rides while my parents enjoyed the slower rides such as the jacuzzi and river and the bus from Luz was a fair price and ran regularly.

SAND CITY, in Lagoa, is currently the Biggest Sand Sculpture Park in the World. It is also considered one of the best atractions in the Algarve for being unique and different, occupying an area of 6 hectares, building by more than 60 artists from the several continents coming to carve about 50.000 tons of sand. Over the last 16 years, Prosandart has held what was the Biggest Sand Sculpture Festival in the World, FIESA, which in 2019 gave way to SAND CITY, the Biggest Sand Sculpture Park in the World.
Loved this place. So many amazing sand sculptures. The animal ones are particularly good with so much detail. There is a play park and a bar selling food. Also a big sandpit which the kids loved playing in. Would recommend this place highly but only for a few hours. It’s not an all day thing.
