This recognizable fell is located in the village of Kilpisjarvi. You can climb to the top of the fell (1029m) along a trail which starts at the Kilpisjarvi tourist centre. Scrambling up to the top of Saana is a challenge worth doing. The longest set of stairs in Finland helps you at the steepest part of the four kilometer journey. From the top of the Saana you can see for miles!

The borders of Finland, Sweden and Norway meet at the Three Nation's Border Point that stands on a man-made island in the Malla Strict Nature Reserve. The point is located about 11 km west from the village of Kilpisjarvi. You get there by hiking or skiing through the Malla Strict Nature Reserve, or during summer you can get there by the Malla boat.

Kilpisjarvi sits at the foot of Saana Fell in the middle of the Arctic high-fell area. Kilpisjarvi Visitor Centre's permanent exhibition On the Edge of the Caledonides introduces Malla Strict Nature Reserve, Saana Nature Reserve and Research Area, Kasivarsi Wilderness Area, and the residents of Kilpisjarvi. The Visitor Centre is for all visitors, tourists, fishers, and hikers on the Nordkalottleden Trail.
