It started life when we realised that, whilst a lot of bushcraft schools focus on purely practical skills, not many look beyond that.With this in mind Wyld Fire set out to be something a bit different!Our aim is to rekindle the ancient and somewhat forgotten crafts and art forms. Living with the land, not from it. Learning to create comfort in the wild responsibly, leaving no trace. Teaching crafts such as leather work and wood carving. Experience Days and Craftshop! I offer one or two day courses where you will learn how to turn a bowl on a traditional foot powered lathe. Check website for details! The only artisan woodcraft-shop in Kielder. This is the place to visit if you want to see a real craftsman producing beautiful wood ware in the old Station Garage. The site is converted into a proper wood working workshop and shop. You will find traditional crafts as well as contemporary work. An inspiring attraction and the owner usually will be turning traditional wooden bowls on a foot-powered pole-lathe. Best place to buy real crafts.
