I had a life time experience with practicing mindfulness with the monk Lon Pi koh and the Nun mashi Joy. Simply worth every minute I spent with them. The temple is a huge place with theme park. To live there was a bit tough but very enriching.

This is a fantastic museum for history buffs like yours truly and one of the key motivators for my recent trip to beautiful Khon Kaen, in the Esarn region of Thailand. Modern history as well as the prehistoric, proudly on display here. I was also privileged to get a personal tour from a couple of lovely local volunteer guides. If you are in Khon Kaen, suggest you take the opportunity to learn more about the area, with a worthwhile visit (see my YouTube) to museum.

It was the middle of a hot Thursday in Khon Kaen and the effect of breeze off the water at Bueng Kaen Nakon, was soothingly timely, indeed. There is a bit to check out here; both inside (there are monuments, gardens, even a library ('Dork Koon' - worth checking out ...) plus some dinosaurs ...) and alongside (shops, accommodation, cafes, museums, etc) this big park. A good work-out can be had (including with basic, freely accessible gym equipment) and measured (with metre markers on sections of the path) here. An enjoyable to place to spend some time (see my YouTube) be it; sightseeing, exercising and or just chilling.

We visited on a Monday and when we got there the whole park wasn’t open. The main children’s bit & main pool with wave machine was. As we was there for my 3 year old son, this was more than ok. We went on all the rides and they are more than suitable for adults let alone kids! It was only 200baht per adult and as my son is shorter than 90cm he was free. The amount they had there including the rides that were closed, is on par with water parks I’ve visited in Florida, for a fraction of the price. As it was a weekday, there was no more than 10 people in the park, 4 of those adults were us! It was brilliant, no queues. Weather was gorgeous, everyone was friendly and my son was loving the attention. There is plenty of food and drink available, which is payable by a charge card. The whole park has a dinosaur theme. At the front of the park there is lots of picture opportunity’s with huge, life size? Dinosaurs. In the main pool, there is a man made beach area, on the other side of the pool there is a stage, where I’m told live bands play at the weekends. Overall I thought this park was brilliant value for money, with great rides, we will definitely be back when we come back.
