Kernersville is a town in Forsyth County, in the U.S. state of North Carolina. A small portion of the town is also in Guilford County. The population was 23,123 at the 2010 census, up from 17,126 at the 2000 census. Kernersville is located at the center of the Piedmont Triad metropolitan area, between Greensboro to the east, High Point to the south, and Winston-Salem to the west. Some of the rural farmland surrounding the town has been sold and turned into large middle-to-upper-class housing developments, and numerous large shopping centers have been built in the town over the past few years. Flue-cured tobacco was the major crop grown in the area and is still grown in some areas today. While Kernersville went through a growth spurt in the first decade of the 21st century, it has leveled off and farms are doing well for the most part in an attempt to revitalize the agricultural community.

This is a lovely spot to visit in the Triad. I've been here a few times now and it's a great peaceful place to hang out. The Field of Honor is a must see if you have not been here. The memorial is beautifully designed and the grounds here are always well taken care of. They have many shelters around this part with picnic tables, grills, etc as well as places for horseshoe and other activities. There is also a playground for the kids. It's one of my favorite parks in the area.

Korner's Folly is the architectural wonder and home of artist and designer Jule Korner. Built in 1880 in Kernersville, North Carolina, the house originally displayed his interior design portfolio. Visitors can now explore the 22 room house museum and its unique original furnishings and artwork, cast-plaster details, carved woodwork, and elaborate hand-laid tile.
Wonderful whimsical house. Lots of history and fascinating story of this house. So many little nooks and crannies with surprising doors. My kids would have loved this house when they were younger. Fascinating house.

Beautiful Garden walk on a crisp Autumn Day. Smaller than I expected, but well kept and pristine grounds. Disappointed to discover the Gift Store is closed on weekends. Would like to visit again in the Spring during a weekday and see the colorful blooms. Enjoyed a nice quiet stroll in the park to ourselves.
