We drove this stretch of Highway 7 to reach Kent Falls before sunset. The drive is so beautiful. We drove this in October, during the fall colors. We ended up passing through Bulls Bridge and the cute town of Kent. We will definitely stop and walk the town next time. The falls is right off the highway and within view from the parking lot! You can hike all the way up (cemented stairs with various lookout platforms).
There is a red covered bridge you go through. It’s very cute and picturesque!
We caught it off season, so free parking.

Worth any diversion from your itinerary if you are in the area. Its a beautiful one lane covered bridge over the Housatonic (sp?) River. One the West Cornwall size there is a small parking area and very nice viewing parks on either side of the bridge.
Its very quaint and felt like a throw back I time. So glad we took the time to explore!

My husband and I came here for wine tasting, which did not disappoint. A great selection of wines to try, including some sweet wines. The location is stunning between the mountains and lake, can't beat it! The employees are very well informed about the wine. Beautiful way to spend the day!

Connecticut's second largest natural lake.
Beautiful sunny fall day to capture the colors of the trees reflected in the lake. So beautiful!! The beach is small but pleasant. Not so easy to walk around the lake but plenty joggers and cyclists enjoying. Easy jaunt to Hopkins winery from here.

I am a machinery buff, and the variety of old steam engines, natural(underground)gas driven was delightful. Power units big and small all working and staffed with informative, knowledgeable volunteers. A piece of our very important past comes alive here, and you can can feel the passion and pride of all those who make this possible.

This rustic spot near fashionable Kent and Sharon Connecticut sports numerous trails, several of which are rugged. (Blue and White trails) Very much off the beaten path, there is some camping, and an actual trout stream. Seldom visited, you will feel very much alone in this bucolic park.

Morrison Gallery is a contemporary art gallery specializing in modern and contemporary art as well as monumental sculpture in Kent, Connecticut.
If you are interested in excellent contemporary art, either for viewing or for purchasing, this gallery is a must-see. For one thing, it is a huge space, very interestingly laid out (not just a big box), and there is also an enormous amount of unhung inventory downstairs. There are sculptures and constructions as well as paintings, although paintings (many of which are quite large) make up the bulk of the artwork. I myself have just arranged to purchase an oil painting that I found downstairs, and Owner/Curator Billy Morrison has been very accommodating in terms of payment arrangements. Kent has suddenly become even more attractive than it was in terms of being a destination. Now if only a restaurant of the same character and quality as the dearly-departed Belgique could be lured into town, Kent would really be cooking with gas. (Yes, it's an old expression, but then I'm an old person!)
