Gue village lies along the Reckong Peo-Kinnaur to Kaza route. After a few kilometres from Sumdo, on the right hand-side a road goes towards the Gue Village, 8kms off the main track & Gue to Kaza is 80kms.A SUV or a Bullet would best do the job. There is no place/hotel to stay at Gue, so its an enroute Kaza trip off the track. The mummy found at Gue is 550 years old. It was found by the I.T.B.P. at Gue village while digging for a border post along china.I suppose its the only mummy found and kept in India & open for public visits.
Before reaching tabo on the way from nako there a village after sumdo for one which one needs to take a detour for. The village name is hue village and it is famous of it's gue mummy. The place is located around 8-10kms of road leading to Kaza. The mummy has a ancient story which one should know. The place was getting a new building made to shift the mummy permanently. Also this place has a tea stall and one should read the sayings around.

It looked like any other village in Spiti. What made it different was the experience. As we walked through the desolate street, an old lady called us in. She and her family were very welcoming. They made us a hot beverage that warmed us up from inside. They were roasting their barley to store it up for the winter. They told us stories about their village and we left, feeling blessed.

A lot of people were making their way to the world's highest post office. As we reached the spot, there a few young lads and ladies who had set up tables with colourful markers, pens and post cards. We bought a set of post cards and started to recollect the postal addresses of all our near and dear ones. It is amusing that the post office has been in existence for the longest time, however, it has come to the world's attention in the past decade. I speak to the post master, who has been working there for 17 years, he comments that the rush has increased in last 6-7 years. All my near and dear ones really felt special when they received post cards from the world's highest post office. If you're in the area, it's a must go place.

We drove through the chilly air to reach the gigantic Buddha statue in Langza. Amidst the snow clad mountains, the statue sits majestically braving the chilly air. It is an amazing spot for clicking good pictures. Langza is known as the fossil village, as the mountains there contain fossilized stones and can be naturally be found. A few girls came up to the statue selling the fossils they had collected. Once we made our purchase, I initiated a conversation. Shy at first, they told me about their way of life and also played hide and seek with me. All in all, an amazing experience
