Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

In addition to serving as the site for the city's huge Museum of Natural History, this park is also home to a small zoo.
It being winter, not at its most lush, but to make up for it they had illuminated sculptures, (similar to the ones in Hoi An, Vietnam). Wow - a lovely walk in the sun via the turtles, hermit crabs, coral reefs, plenty of seating, to enjoy the park and have lunch. We popped out on the far side of the Jardin and came across one of the Wallace fountains I mentioned in passing - in fact the only one remaining of the mural model, (see review).

A large street market in the Latin Quarter.
Rue Mouffetard is a typical parisian little street with a market, street singers. Perfect walk for a sunday morning!

Situated on the left bank of the River Seine, the 5th is one of the central arrondissements of the capital. The arrondissement is notable for being the location of the Quartier Latin, a district dominated by universities, colleges, and prestigious high schools.
The 5th Arrondissement, in the central area of paris is a very interesting and nice part of the city. We have been here several times and love walking around the narrow streets discovering interesting finds. One of the most popular sights is the Pantheon, while the area is known for its universities, schools, and the jewel in the crown, the Quartier Latin, the multicultural district full of cafes and restaurants.

I'd read about this museum on TripAdvisor and thought it would be a fun thing to experience for my 16-year-old son (I was also expecting to have some fun myself). It's really mind-blowing to see all the skeletons of different species and the comparison of one species skeleton to another is really a fantastic visual proof of how we're all so intrinsically connected. If you're interested in evolution in general, dinosaurs, prehistoric animals and fossils - GO to this museum. We first visited the zoo and paid 36 Euros (3 people) for entrance - at the Galeries d'Anatomie Comparee et de Paleontologie we're entitled to a discount, so we got the entrance for 12 Euros (3 people) instead of 27 Euros!

Located within the Jardin des Plantes stands this very animated sculpture (created by Emmanuel Fremiet in the 1800’s), depicting a bear fighting a hunter that has taken/killed her cub, (the emotions captured by the sculptor of the female bear, is simply stunning (you feel for the bear), its looks like things don't end well for all parties.
