Doug gave us a wonderful tour of both his painting studio and property. His paintings are stunning and he even told us how to get to some of the views he painted. His tree and stone sculptures are equally as fascinating and it was interesting hearing his process of making them. His cats Pepper and Casper were also a treat to meet! You must stop by if you are near Inverness.

Cabot Links Golf Course

Reviewed By Alexandermartin - Winnipeg, Canada

A friend recommended we have lunch at Cabot Links. Unfortunately we weren’t golfing , but is there anything better than enjoying an Arnold Palmer on a sunny afternoon watching the approach shot of golfers walking on to the green with their caddies. Friendly service from a great staff while sitting on the patio. There are many options for lunch We had a generous clubhouse sandwich with fries and my wife had a Cobb salad ($17) with a fresh chicken breast ($22) There is a public wooden boardwalk that is on the periphery of the golf course with access on beach road with a spectacular view of many of the fairways and greens in one side and the vast beaches on the other side. It is a unique view of This world class golf course

Inverness Beach Boardwalk

Reviewed By NicholasCarson - Nova Scotia, Canada

We spent a sunny afternoon on this expansive and sandy beach. There are wooden walkways (wheelchair accessible) between the beach and Cabot Links Golf Course. The beach was clean and uncrowded despite it being a hot July afternoon. Ideal for kids and dogs ! - we walked for 2 hours. Lots of free parking and a beachside canteen/washrooms.
