The National Theatre is a beautiful building and a place with vibrant cultural energy! The building itself is in a really good condition and the institution has decent performances. The National Opera of Iasi also holds here its performances. There is also a visitor's ticket available for those who only want to have a tour of the Theatre without seeing a performance. Definitely a "must-see" for a first-timer in Iasi!

After visiting the Palace with the mall, St Nicholas church and Dosoftei house, then another church, we decided to make a stop here. The Cathedral is very big and housed on well maintained grounds and there were lots of people on the Thursday we visited it. Inside you can relax in the cool interior and pay your respects or simply watch the groups queuing to their patron saint laid here for everyone to see. People are very nice and friendly and greatful even for helping them with the many steps.

The tower of Golia is 30 m height. The visitors who want to have a panorama view of the city have to climb 130 stairs. The tower is one of the city's symbols.
must read the history of the monastery and must go to the tower - the best city views. The guide was excellent.

Fantastic park with memories related to the most famous romanian peot EMINESCU who spent a lot of time creating - his tree ( TEI) is still standing and there is a museum that visitors must see. The park is a garden , very well maintained and fouses the largest garden restaurant CASA VANATORILOR where at week-ends locals and tourists dine ( traditional romanian foods YAMMI ) and dance folkloric dances ( HORA/Sarba) with very talented instrumentists and vocal NOT TO MISS

If you want to get away from the city noise (being in the city nevertheless), and have a relaxing walk in the fresh air, this is the place in Iasi. Depending on the season, different type of flowers expositions are arranged, but in any case the big teritory with trees makes you feel like it's outside the city. It's also educational.
