The legend of Casey Jones began in prohibition-era Golden Pond, Kentucky, where he built more than 250 illegal-production copper stills. AJ, Casey’s grandson, used granddad’s last work to create the still used in the distillery today, giving an extra measure of historic family authenticity to our premium distilled spirits. It’s also where you can get married, celebrate a birthday, host a corporate event, or just wander around our lake & waterfall, sit on the back deck & lose yourself in the beautiful Christian County, KY, rural countryside. All while sipping a taste of authentic piece of Golden Pond, Kentucky history. Our team makes this a must-stop to come tour and taste and experience local distilling history. Visit us Monday - Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 1pm-6pm for tours & tastings, shop in Casey's Corner, enjoy a beer, wine, cocktail, moonshine popsicles or soda in Casey's Lounge. Fun for all ages, our tastings and spirits for 21+ are free. Tours for 21 & over $5.
Enjoyed our visit to Casey Jones Distillery as part of the State Line Whiskey Tour. Great stories about the history of Casey Jones and his moonshine career. Learned a lot from the tour and the tasting.

Sixth Street is a historic area with antique brick buildings that are home to two boutiques, an antique store, an art gallery and art store and a nice little restaurant. The street is directly across from the old courthouse.
I love walking down this little street and seeing the local shops. Everyone knows one another and everything in every shop is top notch. I always try to shop local and this is a good place to start. Everything from food to antiques to clothing to artwork. And soon---cocktail bar and bakery

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County is temporarily closed for a renovation of our 1915 Building. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting you in 2019. Visit Museums of Historic Hopkinsville Christian County in Hopkinsville, KY and discover the rich – and sometimes bizarre – history of southwestern Kentucky. From the early works of American psychic Edgar Cayce to tales of the Black Patch Tobacco Wars and the vigilante Night Riders, the past is present at this Kentucky museum. Whether you’re intrigued by the unusual or are drawn to the history of a place and its people, you’ll agree that a visit to Museums of Historic Hopkinsville Christian County should be on every list of what to do in Kentucky. Enjoy both of our unique museums: The Pennyroyal Area Museum, featuring local and regional history, and the Woody Winfree Fire and Transportation Museum, focusing on firefighting and transportation history.
June 19,2020 Friday. The Pennyroyal Area Museum is one of the best city attractions in Hopkinsville. It use to be a post office in 1915. Despite its small size, it is the only museum in Hopkinsville with African American history and Edgar Cayce exhibits. The $5 admission fee was very satisfactory. Hillary and Alissa, the museum staff, were very nice and helpful. I greatly appreciated the museum kit provided to me with pencils, postcards, a recipe card, and museum tokens to use. The museum is very interactive and child friendly. I love reading the weird and wonderful facts exhibits throughout the museum about the goblins, the Nightriders, the blackbird invasion, and Blind Mary. The Edgar Cayce exhibit was my favorite. I spent most of my time there. If you go to the museum, make sure to write on a museum postcard there. The museum will provide the post card, a stamp, and mail it for you. One of the unique features of the museum is the blackbirds flying all over the museum and perched on random places all over the museum like the ladies bathroom. Membership is $25 and gives you a year full of free museum admissions and discounts. I may seriously consider buying membership.
