In addition, a retail showroom and design studio can be found in Green Street, central Cambridge and Regent’s Park Road, Primrose Hill. Recognised as an innovative and industry leading company, Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery was selected as one of the first 20 companies worldwide to hold a Fairtrade gold licence. It was also selected as the Fairtrade Foundation's choice of ‘luxury bespoke jeweller’. Membership of the Responsible Jewellery Council soon followed and the business was the first independent to be certified by both organisations.
My now husband first visited HK bespoke jewellery back in 2016 when he met Tom. He designed a unique personal ring to my husbands specification using some stones out of a ring my Nan had given me. The ring is perfect and I love it. When the time had finally come for us to organise our wedding rings, we headed back to HK bespoke jewellery. This time we were introduced to Alec, again we had a couple of rings that I had been given from my Nan and was hoping to use. Alec managed to incorporate everything I asked for and he designed a ring to go around my engagement ring so they would become one. He went above all my expectations and absolutely love it. My husband was also over the moon with his and they even put in some of his fathers ashes into his ring, so we now have perfect rings all with our own sentimental value. I would like to say a massive thank you to Tom and Alec for there patience, professionalism, knowledge and amazing customer service. I can not recommend HK bespoke jewellery enough, and we will definitely be back in the future.

The Factory Playhouse Hitchin opened its doors on Friday 1st May 2015. A 204 seater theatre on the 1st floor of an old, disused 12,000 sq ft factory in Hitchin. Share a cheese board in the most unique setting in Hitchin!
The whole experience, right from the greeting as you get out of the car is exceptional. Brilliant setting, attention to detail in the service makes for a fantastic day/evening. The show and talent is absolutely top notch. I have seen 4 shows at this venue and they are outstanding. What a fantastic local facility, love it !

Highly recommend! We came across this wonderful little wine bar and knew straight away the atmosphere was perfect. Tony was very hospitable during our visit and was extremely friendly and warm. The experience of refilling our glasses whenever we wanted with the wine dispenser was fantastic and meant we could relax and go at our pace. We got a beautiful cheese board to compliment the wine and sat by the window with the door open enjoying the nice warm weather.

We're a family owned and run farm. During the summer months (check the website for precise dates)we're open to visitors who are able to wander up and down the miles of lavender rows we grow. We also have a small gift shop and offer light refreshments too. Coach groups or large parties are only possible by prior booking. Hope to see you soon!
I'm ashamed to say, I grew up & lived in Hitchin for 20 plus years & have only just gotten round to visiting! What a beautiful & peaceful haven! The smell is intoxicating and the colours are just lovely. The lavender is now in full bloom so perfect for harvesting. Be sure to check their website before visiting avoid disappointment, the farm cannot always guarantee if the lavender or sunflowers are in bloom. It's £6 to enter for adults and you're given a bag and scissors, away you go! Keep to the tracks and don't cross rows and you're golden. The bees and insects are in abundance and they're perfectly safe for those that may be worried, they're more interested in the lavender! Wear sensible shoes as the ground will be uneven and stoney, best to wear loose / ankle covering trousers in case of thistles or sharp bits that may graze. It's a great place to while away a couple of hours, have a picnic, go and eat some of their wonderful home made cakes and try some lavender products. It's simply lovely & I'll be keeping a close eye on their blog to see when their sunflowers are in bloom ????

A museum of the history of education set in a complex of historic classrooms and schools buildings. With four historic classrooms, the delightful Headmaster's House, displays, exhibitions, cafe and shop, this really is the place where learning comes to life. Please check website before visiting for up to date visiting times and special events.
I visited this small museum today with my 5 and 8 year old. You feel Covid safe and follow a route around the head masters house, then old school rooms and play ground. There is a great team of volunteers who make you feel incredibly welcome and introduce you to the areas which have been reconstructed with huge attention to detail. The children loved the school rooms and house and were allowed to engage with the spaces. The volunteers have lots of time for you and are happy to answer all your questions. There is lots to see and no pressure to rush. If you bring you smart phone with you the kids can also listen to some of the pupils of the school telling their stories. A great place for young and old if you have 1-2 hours spare in Hitchin.
