This walk goes for miles - literally. I can't think of anywhere else in the world with such a relaxed walking environment, but complete with discrete toilets, picnic seating, regular access to the beach - and of course with a range of coffee shops, restaurants, ice-cream shops, motels and pubs just on the other side of the road. I hope that is never over-developed, so that it retains its ambience. 20 paces and you are off the walking track, and walking along the endless beach front, with a wide, gently sloping sandy beach, Frazer Island in the distance, and great shade spots under the bordering trees. Truly a paradise.

Great idea to cool off in the summer Australian heat, this is a free attraction and will most definitely keep the kids entertained for a while. Large park next door too, all round thumbs up ????????

We had a great time catching a lot of fish - many had to be thrown back but we got some decent ones - if you like fishing then you will love the pier.

These gardens are surprisingly large for a smaller town with plants well labelled. Stand out features for us included the small Chinese Garden, the Orchid House, the lake with its resident turtles, and the various trails beside a watercourse and through natural bush. We thought the planting of a tree for when a local resident turns 100 an idea that others could emulate. There is a cafe though it was early in the day when we were there and it was closed - unsure if Covid might be a reason too, as well as a children's playground, a laybrinth, toilets and parking areas onsite (though they might fill up in peak holiday season). A very enjoyable way to spend a peaceful couple of hours.

Beautiful park which has lovely green lawns, kids playground, BBQ’s, tables, seating, toilets and wonderful views. A hidden gem. Could be missed when driving past. Worth a visit. Reef world and the Waterfront Restaurant are located here however we didn’t go there as we had our dog with us.

We enjoyed a visit to Reef World on our recent trip to Hervey Bay. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and clearly love what they do. It’s not huge but It was a nice way to spend an hour or so out of the sun. My teens loved feeding the turtles.

At low tide the beach is fully accessible with pristine soft golden sand and with three piers the views are astounding. The Coral Sea is bath water warm in the summer and this visit is our first in the winter and the sea was still warm. When the Tide is in there are still plenty of place to sit and enjoy the relaxing sounds.
