I've been going to Daffin's since a teenager. I'm now 37. Every few years when I drop in it becomes less & less about the chocolate and more about licensed merchandise. It's 60% greeting cards, Jelly Belly merch, purses, necklace charms, glass knickknacks, bookmarks, stuffed animals, candles, coasters and did I mention greeting cards??
The candy counter is still fully stocked - my husband bought a $10 assortment and the chocolate actually tasted bitter and old when we got to the car. We all know that "old" taste. Like when you find a piece of candy in your junk drawer in the kitchen. You eat it and you know you shouldn't have.
Daffin's, although interestingly enough to stretch your legs on a weekend trip, has lost it's magic for me.
The candy aisle that has chocolate cigars, gum, mints, little chocolate cars, oversized candy candy, etc is just prepackaged, find-anywhere candy. That is NOT Daffin chocolates. Every gift shop in the USA has those tiny cars. And gourmet lollipops. I live near that lollipop factory in Ohio so I know it's NOT Daffin's!

A wide variety of shoes. Plenty of help staff. I tried on two pairs and took two pairs. It was worth a stop if you need shoes!

Driving into the cemetery, one sees all the flags lining the drive way. As you drive down the driveway and around the circle, flags are everywhere. What a beautiful sight. The wind was blowing slightly and seeing the flags flying in the wind was awesome.

First time visiting Shenengo River Lake. What an enjoyable experience pontooning and fishing on the lake. The lake is sprawling and while on the boat you go under road overpasses into another section of the lake. The lake water was a bit brown because of all the rain during the early part of the summer. A lot on nice little coves to fish in. Mostly catfish, perch, blue gill, but also some larger fish like pike and muskie. There are bathroom facilities at the main launch area and also a little store to buy bait. Mid way in the lake one can dock the boat and use the port-o-johns - this part also has a little sandy beach and grassy area. Such a nice way to spend the day.

A little gem right in plain site. Who would have thought behind the winery which is very small there was relaxing backyard. Music each sat during the summer. Enjoyed Rick Bruckner and his guitar last Sat and will probably return for more this sat. A guest chef june Bruckner cooked up delicious crepes all vegan. So what could be better good wine, good food and good friends. So happy to support local!!

We attended a family wedding here. If you are looking for a unique wedding or party venue check this place out.
The main attraction is a large 2 story restored barn. One bad thing in the summer is that the barn is not air conditioned and it can be very hot inside.
There is also an area for outdoor activities.

SPORTS FANS! Come see over 300 sports objects autographed by famous sports SUPER STARS! Cases are filled with autographed sports items from all the major sports. This one of a kind collection captures important moments of sports history with signatures of the famous sports heroes. You will see an unbelievable variety of sports, distinctive objects, and memorable autographs of the great athletes
I am not even a sports fan, but the items in this collection are by sports heroes so well-known that they brought instant recognition and awe. The collection is housed in spacious glass cases, some eclectic, some grouped by sport. Especially impressive are a few items with autographs of multiple award recipients including a football helmet signed by twenty recipients of the Heisman Trophy. Certainly worth a short stop (pun intended) for all ages and a must-see for enthusiasts.
