VMFA Arts is a top comprehensive US art museum with more than 5,000 years of art from around the world. VMFA is open 365 days a year and general admission is always free. The Wall Street Journal recently stated that VMFA is now a "two day museum."
Tis place has it all! Paintings, sculptures, furniture, Faberge, artifacts...you name it, they have it! I was pleasantly surprised and how much I enjoyed this museum. It's a lot to take in for one visit so, I will be returning. I would describe this museum as a "mini Louvre." I just cannot say enough great things!

Our first experience in an escape room and thoroughly enjoyed. Very nicely done, staging and props, set a nice atmosphere. Challenging, we came so close to solving.

Maymont is a 100-acre American estate, an extraordinary gift given to the community by James and Sallie Dooley who lived there from 1893 to 1925. Whether strolling in the gardens, touring the mansion, watching river otters at play, or petting a goat, there is something for everyone to enjoy. NEW! Golf cart tours are now available. Explore the rolling hills and winding path with ease with a personal tour guide!
I've had pleasant visits to Maymont in the past, but this last time will have me choosing to go elsewhere in the future. The groundskeeper kept using his bullhorn to repeatedly announce that the grounds closed at 5 and that the gates would be locked. There were only a few people left, and we did clear out by 5, but he was so aggressive it bordered on obnoxious. If he had talked to the few groups individually or even prefaced his requests with a "please" it would have been much less objectionable.

Located in Richmond, VA, River City Escape Room is Richmond’s ultimate interactive escape experience. A team of 2-10 players will use their intellect and wit to decipher clues and puzzles in order to escape the room within sixty minutes. Do YOU have the skills to escape? Book a room for your next party, night out with family and friends, or your next company team building event.
My son and I did the Innocent and Speak Easy escape rooms with a group of people we didn’t know and we all worked well together. Both rooms were challenging especially Innocent. I recommend this room only to others who love ERs and have done many, I had not and we were with 4 others who had never done an escape room and we barely cover 60% of the room when our time was up. But I loved how both rooms were detailed to the theme of the rooms and creativeness of the puzzle flow and all the secret doors were a unique surprise too!

With something for all ages and interests, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is a place to learn about plants, to marvel at nature, to relax in a beautiful setting, to take gardening classes, or to have a wedding or a business meeting. A wide variety of experiences are offered through its diverse gardens and facilities. No wonder Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is consistently one of the most-visited attractions in the Richmond, Va., area.
We had a wide range of ages in our group--67 being the oldest, and 7 being the youngest. There is a good bit of walking if you see all of the gardens. We all enjoyed it--there are a good many things the kids can do...MoreThanks for taking the time to write a review. We're so glad you enjoyed your visit.

Room Escape USA is the newest Escape Room in RVA! Bring your friends, and experience the exhilarating thrill of Room Escape USA. Geared towards teamwork, you and your friends true character will become visible in this environment. Riddles, clues, and puzzles cannot be solved alone, you must work together to find the solution, and make it out in time. Bring one friend, or bring 5, the choice is up to you.
6 family and friends, Saturday afternoon, an hour of great fun. We all enjoyed it. Difficulty of puzzles varied, but process is linear and it helps to keep that in mind so you don't skip something if someone solves something a few steps ahead - could result in missing a clue you need later in the game.
I would recommend it for older teens and up, younger kids probably should have a 1 kid 1 adult ratio, but everyone should have a great time.
It was a first escape room experience for all of us and I am sad to say we got obsessed with a couple of the early puzzles and didn't finish. However we discussed possible dates we could all get together again at dinner immediately after the experience. Go for it,

Have to admit that it is a little funny seeing this in the list of attractions of Glen Allen.. it is a grocery/farmer's market after all. But if you are looking for a grocery with a farmer's market atmosphere then this the place for you. You will find fresh fruits and veggies in season, good prices on quality beef and seafood. You might even smell the bread being baked there. While this is not a one stop grocery stop, this is somewhere to get fruits and veggies, breads, and some delicious salad dressings too.

This monument is just off Route 1 near 295 and is tucked in a residential neighborhood. It is a small monument up some stairs with a nice little park behind it. There is a historic marker there with the history of the spot. This is where Stuart was mortally wounded and makes for a nice break.
