Ideally situated just south of Las Vegas and just west of Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, Henderson may lack Sin City's flamboyance, but it makes up for it in activities. Golf any of eight championship courses throughout the year, sample delectable treats from Ethel M Chocolates as you explore the Botanical Cactus Garden, the world’s largest cactus collection, pay respects at the Henderson Veteran's Memorial Wall or take your binoculars to the Bird Viewing Preserve.

The Distillery is a happy place! Come visit Nevada's first craft distillery, enjoy our spirits, the stories and meet The Copper Angels. Cheers!
What an unexpected gem this was! We did the tour and all-in tasting. We learned a lot about the process of distilling. Our tour was with the owner who was very informative and fun. The custom designed imported equipment from Germany was beautiful. The tasting was fun and we all enjoyed the many varieties of vodka, gin, whiskey and liquors we were able to sample. Can't wait to go again and introduce other family members to the experience.

The museum is a 30-acre site that features a modern exhibit hall with a timeline exhibit about southern Nevada from pre-historic to modern times and a collection of restored historic buildings that depict daily life from different decades in Las Vegas, Boulder City, Henderson, and Goldfield.
On a recent trip to Las Vegas we visited this museum. There is a building with LOTS of things to see. As a former Earth Science teacher, I loved the fossil area, but that is only one small part of the viewing in this building. Then on the outside you walk along a Ghost Town and Mining Trail. Here there are numerous displays and small OLD TIME buildings. Then you walk across the street and see a pretend neighborhood with several homes. The insides of the homes are set up with displays that I, as a person in my 60's, remember either in my own home or my grandparents homes. That is such a hoot!!!! Like the Bellagio Conservatory, here are NUMEROUS PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES!!!! The cost for us seniors was $1.00 for other it is $2.00. You cannot beat that for an inexpensive time. You will need some time to go through the main building, walk around the Ghost Town, walk through other buildings such as a barn and church and to go through the homes in the neighborhood. Please go onto the website for the Clark County Museum as there are lots of pictures of this place.

The M Resort is a beautiful property that a always well maintained. They pride themselves on the cleanliness of rooms and public areas. The rooms are large with comfortable beds and inviting bathrooms. The bathrooms are divided into sections so no one is ever crowded. The staff in the casino, hotel and restaurants are very friendly and helpful. Staff in this hotel make you feel like your visit is important to them. Slots are new and hit. Drink staff are around frequently to ask you if you want anything. The only down side is the coffee. The same coffee is served across the property. If coffee is important and you are fussy about it, you could be looking for somewhere else to buy it.

This is a brilliant gem near Las Vegas. We needed some outdoor time after two days indoors and this was great. Our Lyft driver had no idea it was there and planned to bring his kids there the next day. Roadrunners, verdin, Gambel’s quail, American avocet, northern shoveler, ruddy duck, cinnamon teal, hummingbirds, and much much more! The staff was wonderful and kind to this visitor from the East Coast. Go here if you love birding!

Very near from Las Vegas strip. A good site trip, something different to do other than the normal casinos/night club/shows. Go early when it is cool. I did the petroglyph trail, you can do easy just by doing the river walk. I see families with young children. You can always turn back once you had enough, but you can also go harder at the end when you had to climb some rocks. Parking was not an issue when I was there, but it could be if you come during the busy time.

Scenic and privately owned 320-acre lake with 10 miles of shoreline.
Lake Las Vegas, or Lake Las Vegas Resort, refers to a 320-acre artificial lake and the 3,592-acre developed area that surrounds the lake that amounts to an extension of the Las Vegas Strip. Located in Henderson, Nevada, a suburb of Las Vegas, it was conceived by actor J. Carlton Adair in 1967 and developed by Sid and Lee Bass, two billionaires from Fort Worth, Texas. Today, the area includes three resorts--the Aston MonteLago Village, the Westin Lake Las Vegas and the Hilton Lake Las Vegas. In 2016, the Lake Las Vegas Event Center opened for special events, entertainment and exhibits, connecting all three resorts with 40,000 square feet of gaming space.

This 80,000 square foot casino includes slot and video poker machines, 40 table games, a keno lounge and live poker room.
Sunset Station is our go to for the Sports Book during football season and they have some great specials and places all around the casino to watch as well. We also love the Oyster Bar, Seafood restaurant and our monthly dining spot for some fabulous Qysters and pasta dinners. We love watching the cooks prepare the food too. The gaming floor is great, and the slots are plentiful. They keep the games up to date and we enjoy our time there playing. Overall, this is our go-to Casino in Henderson when we visit the area.

Voted best waterpark in Las Vegas! This 23 acre family park features over 20 water slides, pools, activities and attractions including “Wild Surf” the ultimate waterslide featured on Xtreme Waterparks. Delicious food, snacks and refreshing beverages are also available. Easily located 15 minutes east of the Las Vegas Strip in Henderson, NV.
If you are in Las Vegas area and looking for a fun and fabulous day I highly recommend going to Cowabunga Bay Waterpark. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do for all ages, slides. Lazy river, wave pool, etc. Our granddaughter (just turned 4) had an awesome time. It’s very reasonably priced, we bought online and saved $10 off each adult ticket. Season Passholders gain entry about 10-15 minutes before daily entrants. But that’s a perk they deserve. Water is Ice cold. It was 107° the day we went and water felt amazing. Will definitely be returning next time in Vegas.
