Wild is Life is a genuine wildlife orphanage and rehabilitation rescue centre. Guests are invited to visit the Sanctuary for trully memorable personal encounters with wildlife orphans. Bookings are essential and visits are limited to afternoons only. All proceeds from the guest visits are used for the running and maintenance of the Sanctuary.
Great afternoon getting close to and learning about certain wild animals followed by delicious afternoon tea! Hearing about how the animals have been rescued & learning about their habitats etc was fascinating. Seeing the baby elephants &!feeding the giraffes were highlights as was seeing the pangolin run across the lawn! Tea in the conservatory was a nice final treat.

Great value for money! I loved it, if you love nature and wild animals and exclusivity then my friend make the booking. It’s about 30 minutes from Harare but the road is great, no potholes or dirt road. Did I mention that I loved it?

Harare gallery specializing in the finest Shona sculpture. Beautiful garden setting, an oasis of calm just minutes from the airport. See works by the best of the contemporary sculptors alongside the most famous names in the art movement.
Before flying back to Malawi I spent 2,5 hours in Shona Sculpture Gallery / Garden. I am impressed to learn about the creativity of Zimbabwiens of several generations! It is lovely presented with a lot of information. We had a very nice conversation and I appreciate the approach of the gallery, especially to support young artists in a close personal relationship.

Wonderful place with great food and some amazing bird life. When it was working the swimming pool and small kids train were the highlight for my children.

A short car-ride from Harare. There is a sign (turn right) which was hard to see due to high grass. There was a small reception with parking- a few USD per person in entrance fee. A steep, maybe 15 min, climb (the path easy to find and marked with white painted arrows on the ground) to see fantastic rock- paintings. Many smaller ones and also a bigger train of elephants that we didn't notice first (take a step back). We followed the cleft further up (along the brook) and climbed to the top of the mountain. This part needs good shoes and at least some physical capability ;-). From the top of the mountain beautiful view.

Visit Zimparks office in town ahead of your trip to book a walk or just arrive early on a weekend and book a walk at the Main Camp in the wardens office - its wonderful, so inexpensive and worth every penny you will get close to incredible wildlife in an authentic bush setting - while also supporting National Parks. We saw rhino, giraffe, zebra and so much more
