Wow! An exquisite natural interactive wonder. Bright aqua pools cascade into waterfalls of rejuvenation for mind, body, soul. Highlight is the rope/rappelling down a Boulder into the Bleu. You feel like Indiana Jones!

The Ogier-Fombrun Museum will greet you with stories dating from the pre-colombian indian era to colonial times of 1794, when Haiti used to be the largest producer of sugar in the Caribbean. The property is an authentic sugar cane plantation whose ruins were totally recovered by the work of Architect Gerard Fombrun during more than 35 years of personal involvement. The authentic stone aqueduct which still exists, continues to run water to a gigantic 20 feet wooden wheel which was used to extract the juice from the cane. The "Etuve", which was used to heat up the "melasse", still exists and is reminiscent of a rich past.

Papillon Enterprises is a socially & ecologically conscious business with a mission of stimulating the Haitian economy by selling and marketing Haitian artisan goods. We offer a beautiful and safe shopping experience with a variety of locally made products. Grab a fresh made smoothie, or coffee drink while you shop.
This is a really cool place - they give you a tour of the facilities where the workers are making crafts. The work all supports single parents so that they don’t have to give their kids up for adoption. Beautiful pottery, paper beads, stuffed animals and more. Social entrepreneurship at its best! Did all of our souvenir shopping here.

We signed up for the Amiga Island excursion during our port visit to Labadee, and it was a great choice. We never saw the beaches at Labadee but I'm guessing they were pretty crowded with 4,000 passengers getting off the ship. There were about 25 folks on our boat. It took about 25 minutes to get to the island, and we had to wade a bit to get onto the beach. There were chairs and a small bar and a couple hammocks, but most people spent time in the water, which was perfect temperature. We also walked around the island, which took about ten minutes. Overall it was a nice getaway from the cruise crowds, and worth the cost.

An area located in northern Haiti that is famous for its striking natural beauty and great beaches.
We stopped here on our Royal Caribbean cruise on Oasis of the Seas in January 2019. I really had planned so much for our other 2 ports that we used this day as a beach day and it was perfect! Great weather, water temps were great too! (I was worried that in January that it would be cool) We did end up renting 2 floating mats once in the Columbus Cove area and just chilled in the water. No need to pay for more activities on this island in my opinion! Columbus Cove was the perfect spot to chill under the palm trees, play in the water and get a great view of the ship as well. We did end up walking to the CC beach area and it was a beautiful walk, not too long for us. Waiting for the trolley just took too long. The other side of the island it was very windy and the water was super rough, but the side we were on was perfect!

The Heros de Vertieres is a phenomenal monument that must be seen by all visitors and tourists wishing to view Haitian historical legacy at its Best. Most importantly, it is a symbol of Freedom to remind the world of the danger of slavery and its aftermath.
