For a reasonable price you get an all-included package that could easily become a day trip for the fam. Brand new zip line course using the safest technology and knowledgeable, friendly guides. Tropical aviary and butterfly garden access included! Climb up to the observation tower and bring a picnic for a great half-day trip! Highly recommended, even for younger children

This was a fun visit. It’s a bit far from Dorado, where we were staying, but worth the drive. The park is divided up into sections, if you will, and we only had time to visit about half of the park (due to our later than expected arrival and the park’s closing time).
When we arrived, staff recommended we take the gondola up to the bird enclosure. The gondola looks very modern and is so very cool. The views from the gondola cars are amazing, and the gondola itself wasn’t scary to the kids despite the doors being "see through". Of note, the cars never stop exactly, but rather move slowly at the points that you enter/exit, so you want to be paying attention and have the hand of younger kids, and perhaps the arm of older parents. There are attendants at the entry/exit point to assist you, and I'm sure the cable cars could be stopped if truly needed, but it's not standard practice.
The small Monarch Butterfly enclosure was a huge hit with my boys, particularly our 3 year old. There are a good number of Monarchs in this enclosure and they are on the walkway (look before you step) and eye level flowering plants. We visited and re-visited this enclosure.
The bird enclosure was a bigger hit with the adults than the kids. They have some birds in aviaries, but most are free to roam the large enclosure. Some large macaws and amazing colored parrots were perched on the walkway’s rails. These birds are stunning, and some are a good size and have good sized beaks (hence the trepidation of the little kids). The birds weren't aggressive, but you wouldn't want to get too close either. :-) The colors on display here are amazing.
There is a tractor train you can take from the bird/butterfly enclosures to the lookout tower and waterfall. We chose the hike to the lookout tower as the views were raved about. It’s an uphill climb (fairly steep) and a lot of stairs. Our 3 and 5 year old and 70 year old parents all managed the climb to the top with perhaps a stop or two. Regardless of the workout THIS VIEW IS AMAZING! Truly spectacular, and one of our favorite moments in Puerto Rico. The boys really enjoyed running down the hill much to our terror...Luckily no falls. The waterfall is manmade and an easy downhill stroll from where the tractor train lets you off.
I’ll admit that I wasn’t sold on coming to La Marquesa Forest Park and I’m so glad my mother talked me into it. The views from the lookout tower were just beyond compare.

Try Scuba Diving - Puerto Rico is a scuba tour company that takes beginners and first timers on there first scuba experience. All of our tours are in the ocean on a reef so you are guaranteed to see a ton of aquatic life and fish. And videos and pics are included.
The guys with Try Scuba Diving do their very best to make you feel comfortable and safe through the whole experience. They take you to places in the lagoon that you can see fish and other creatures. Not of their fault, but unfortunately the day we were there the sea was pretty rough making the water pretty murky (which they said was a rare occurrence), but I still thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

This is a well keep nature treasure in my beautiful island of Puerto Rico. A well planned forest park, well trained and seasoned personnel, very friendly and knowledgeable. The park is really an awesome adventure, open to be explored in many ways. I love the Butterfly and Bird Sanctuaries and all surrounding is a major exploratory laboratory of Puerto Rico's indigenous trees and plants. I loved the place.

This dive shop definitely made an impression, their kindness was one for the books. We dive as a group of 4 and have dove in multiple places around the world, but definitely enjoyed the genuine kindness we received here. Alberto was sure to make sure each moment of our time here was sometime to remember, the current and visibility wasn't the best, and truly could have been better, but the staff sure made up for the uncontrollable.

Museum of Transportation was developed to represent Puerto Rico's history of transportation, illustrating and displaying in a unique way how trends of transportation modernized in a challenging way throughout the decades. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 10am to 5pm. Check out the Grand Prix and Flight simulators!
This is a small museum but very entertaining. The employee put a great effort to educate the visitors. Worth the visit.

I don't like sports, but even I found this place interesting. The first thing you will do is watch some documentaries that talk about the hisotry of sports in Puerto Rico and its key figures, another on the museum, another about how the wax replicas were made and a final one with more current events. If you like sports or sports history this is your place; because not only are there pictures, but also various artifacts and even an interactive activity for kids on the Basketball hall.

We stayed in Palmas del Mar where Michael Gonzalex served as concierge. He made all the arrangements for day trips and even accommodated an unforeseen situation with grace. We highly recommend him (phone: 787-533-3125) if you plan to be anywhere in the area and want a wonderful day trip experience.
