The Landmark On Lee served as the main Greenville Post Office for many years. This Classical Revival style of architecture greatly enhanced Downtown Greenville when it was completed in 1910. It was at this post office that Audie Murphy, the most decorated soldier of World War II enlisted on June 20, 1942. In 1974, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
This is the Old Federal Post Office and has been converted into a great, beautiful venue. I have attended dances, meetings, large community fundraisers, and dinners here. The exterior is magnificent as is the interior. The entrance is beautiful and the "back porch" is nice. There is a lot of parking and it is across the street from more parking at the Greenville Police/Courts building. The Rotary Club Foundation did a magnificent job in refurbishing and saving this gem. The most decorated American soldier of WWII, Medal of Honor winner Audie Murphy enlisted in the Army in the basement of this building.

Recently attended there. Staff was very helpful as my SO and I have food sensitivity issues and they took care of that ahead of time. Great venue to hear acts, acoustics are wonderful and so is the seating. There is also a coffee shop next door. Note that this is a historic building so ADA compliance is limited.

Landon Winery's production and distribution center that also has a tasting room with nice meat and cheese boards, outdoor patio with an educational vineyard, working well and water tower for irrigation. There are several rooms available for private parties that can handle events up to several hundred guests. Enjoy your favorite wine by the glass or by the bottle on the patio or take home a bottle to enjoy at home. Two hour Barrel tasting every Saturday at 2pm.
This was our second trip to Landon Winery in Greenville, and we found great wine and service both times. Our recent server was Jared who was knowledgeable about the wines and gracious in his service. My husband (who likes sweet) had a glass of Yellow Rose and I (who like blended red) tried their new bourbon barrel Pinot Noir. What’s truly note worthy is their cheese platters have an finer quality of cheeses than the usual winery fare. Finish it all with their Chocolate Finale and call it a winner! They have a wine club that offers 20% vs 10% for club members. Love this place!

Audie Murphy is one of my boyhood heroes. We made it a point to drive through Greenville so we could stop by this museum. While I greatly enjoyed seeing the memorabilia and exhibits about him they are only a small part of this museum. The Cotton Museum is interesting. Much of the museum covered local history. I liked the way they portrayed the 1920s. They had an area that was built like shop fronts. You pressed a button and the first shop lit up and verbally described what everything was, what it was used for and how much it cost. Then the next shop would light up and do the same. They had shops for lady’s clothing, a beauty parlor, a drug store and others. Very well done.
