This section of the Goulburn River is lined with River Red Gums and is an important wildlife corridor linking the mountains of the Great Dividing Range to the Murray River. The picturesque river has narrow strips of vegetation along its meandering banks, with the adjoining River Red Gum forests and woodlands providing a striking contrast to the adjacent farmland. The Lower Goulburn National Park and forests along the lower reaches of the Goulburn River are ideal for camping, fishing and canoeing. Sightsee and picnic with many views from high river banks, swim or fish in this fairly shallow section of the river which is enhanced by summer releases from Lake Eildon. Informal boat ramps are scattered along the river at popular access points.

Cheeky Grog Co is a family owned operated cider business utilising second grade fruit grown on orchards in Nathalia and Bunbartha - blossom to bottle. Apart from a delicious range of ciders, wood fired pizzas and platters are available. The venue also holds many functions throughout the year. Situate on an orchard property on the outskirts of Shepparton, Victoria. - Be sure to check us out.
Ten of us enjoyed the "Feed Me" 4 course banquet last weekend. The dishes were many and varied and we certainly didn't go home hungry. The sourdough bread was the best I've tasted, with the freshly cultured butter adding to the enjoyment. The potato gnocchi was light and fluffy, topped with a delicious mushroom sauce and toasted walnuts YUMMMM! The warm salads, meats and apple gateaux were also amazing. The one waitress who seemed to be taking orders, dishing out meals and drinks and collecting plates was run off her feet but we still received our courses in good time. An amazing dining experience superior to any I have had in this area.

I stopped in here to pick up some little jam jars for a Christmas hamper I was putting together. Service was friendly and efficient and there was a good range of products to choose from. Little cafe is quite rustic but nice for a quick bite off the beaten track.

No need to go far. It’s in the middle of the town this lovely park with recreational activities, the lake can be walked all around, or run/jogging Next to it’s is the mighty Goulburn river and the bush walk. There is a 22km bike path to take you to Tatura through Tebet bush and pastures if you are into cycling

A very nice tribute - a wonderful display of things relating to the internment . It is educational and well worth a visit.

On Saturday, our eldest son and his wife held their 30th birthday party at Longleat. The day was a spectacular success, which was mainly due to the setting, food, staff and wines at the estate. Guido, Sandra and their staff were incredibly welcoming and interested that we had everything we needed. The food was superb and the wines were excellent. Fabulous party destination. There was plenty of room for the children to wander amongst the vines, and Pedro the dog was a fabulous addition.

Great idea to promote art and dairying. It's always fun to stop and take a few pics. Keep an eye out for any new ones. Glad to see they've won the Tripadvisor award too. .. Where is the cow jumping over the moon ? I must find that on my next trip ....
