We were fortunate to be the only ones in our tour group and found the tour of the 2nd level of the mine to be every educational and awesome. Our tour guide Zoey was awesome and gave us a great tour and knowledge of the mine and Bendigos gold history. Definately need a little time to look around the surdace at the displays. Overall a great day out

Great Location for a stay in Bendigo .. We stayed at The Tea House Motel literally over the Road from the Lake .. Great for a walk or picnic .. Little donut van and Barista Coffee van in the car park Beautiful little find

This park is the jewel and well worth a visit, beautiful kept garden with plenty of pathways for a nice walk and gardens to admire. The viewing tower is a great climb for those able to walk up and down many many steps, the view from the top of Bendigo is well worth it. (go on a weekday not weekend) If have children there is plenty of space for them to run around.

For a small regional gallery, Bendigo Art Gallery continues to deliver. It has been one of only a few galleries to feature the Archibald Prize outside the major cities. And then there is the special events. The Age of Couture, The Grace Kelly Exhibition, The Marilyn Monroe exhibition and recently the Tudor to Windsor Exhibition featuring painting from the royal family dating back to the Age of the Tudors. And this is just in recent times. Bendigo shouold be very proud of their Gallery and the Curating staff.

The museum took us by surprise expecting to see some Chinese dragons, there was also an amazing collection of Chinese art including temple dogs, statues and a carriage made of jade. Plus we enjoyed looking thru the collection of Chinese coins and the serenity of the Chinese garden and temple.

What an amazing place to find nestled in the Australian bush land, just outside Bendigo! An astonishing blend of Eastern philosophy, nature park, temple, learning and peace! Could not recommend a stop off here more highly, to both enjoy, learn and view. The small tour of the temple was a stand out but really there wasn’t a dull second doing the self guided walk.

I was pleasantly surprised when i discovered this place with my family! It has so many wonderful things to discover. When you enter through the car park, there are a whole range of wonderful shops, with home made jewelry and pieces of art, delectables' gourmet treats, antiques and art. A short stroll takes you through a secret garden of sorts and you enter the beautiful pottery studio. My youngest was invited to a birthday party and they enjoyed some wonderful treats at the cafe, which is just through the door and to you right. The food kept coming, cordial, small sausages, party pies, sausage rolls, jelly and then it was time to go through and partake in a pottery lesson with the children alternating between two phases of a lesson and producing two items at the end. You will have to pay for the items to be fired and then you will be contacted when they are ready to be picked up. But that is not all, if you want to keep yourself occupied while your children have a great time creating, you can explore the huge antique space filled with all sorts of antiques and on the other side, you can see the original kiln and marvel at the wonderful pottery on display and for sale. All in all a must for visitors and locals alike! There is also a wonderful building for functions that is absolute breath taking and stick with the historical architecture surrounding it.
