Biorock Pemuteran bali

Absolutely worth travelling to Pemuteran just to snorkel / dive over the Biorock. It’s very easy to access - only a minute swim from the lovely relaxing beach - and shallow enough for great vis of all the reef creatures.

The Turtle Project

Reviewed By 754derekr

Chris Brown continues to do sterling conservation work with projects to generate coral reefs and support the local hawksbill turtle population. Stop by the hatchery to check out the baby turtles. Eggs are brought to the hatchery by fisherman who receive Rp.3000 per egg. The eggs are buried in sand until they hatch with the babies being moved to a tank to mature for a couple of months before being released. A ticket, to look around, valid for one-week can be purchased for Rp.25,000. You can experience the joy of naming and releasing a turtle back to the sea for a Rp. 100,000 donation in support of turtle conservation. The delightful and knowledgeable Ina will explain the details of their conservation efforts and print you personalised certificate. This is a great activity for small children in generating meaningful lifelong memories. We wish Scrumptious a long and productive life as a turtle roaming the seas!

Pemuteran Beach

Reviewed By umirukailahsafari - East Java, Indonesia

I live in Jember on Java Island. A city in the middle between Surabaya the Capitol of East Java and Denpasar the capital of Bali. I would like to share my trip to explore West Bali; Pemuteran and Pulaki in Buleleng. If you come from different parts of places it is easy from Gilimanuk Port as starting point. I took Pandanwangi train from Jember train station at 5 am to Ketapang port in Banyuwangi for 8k IDR. It took 3 hours and by 8am I reached the harbour. I crossed the sea by Ferry for 7k IDR. The next transportation is bus from Gilimanuk Bus station to Pemuteran. It costs me 20k IDR. It was so easy by noon I got to the homestay and wandering around by motorbike I rent from the owner of the homestay.
