Attended Production of You can't do that Dan Moody in the Court house. I was one of the unfortunates that had to sit in the balcony. Totally unacceptable. The safety railing cuts off the actors faces, so you only see their legs, unless you slouch down in your seat & peer between the rails. Sound was also bad up there. I suggest that tickets only be sold for downstairs, as upstairs setting at $30.00 a ticket is a rip off. I also suggest that it is made clear on their website that balcony seating is mostly obstructed. Otherwise, it's a great historical play & would be enjoyable if you could see it.

This is a perfect destination when traveling in the Austin and Round Rock area. Even locals should go. Perfect for families with good walkways and lighting through the caverns and a play and picnic area with live animals outside. The caverns are beautiful and very different from the caves on the East Coast I've been to. The tours have three levels. We went on the first with included an hour and 1/2 fairly easy walk. Some hills coming out so minimal health and energy needed. Enough lighting not to be scary for young kids. Even well traveled people like my husband and myself were in awe of the beauty of the limestone formations. They guide was knowledgeable and patient for picture takers.
There were also two other levels of tours, one with flashlights in smaller spaces and another 3 - 4 hour exploration tour.
Fantastic and worth going. Also worth the entrance fee.

The north and south branches of the San Gabriel River come together just to the northwest of downtown Georgetown. There is a wonderful cement trail that starts in San Gabriel park and meanders along the bank of this beautiful river. The trail has distance markers so if you are looking for a place to exercise as well as explore, you will be able to measure your distances. The park also has a frisbee golf course, playscapes, bathrooms, picnic areas (most covered), grills and huge beautiful trees as well as a sunken flower garden

Resort and retirement community featuring two exceptional golf courses.
I keep reviewing Sun City as a mediocre thing to do in Georgetown because it's a retirement neighborhood with amenities for residents only. If you don't live there and you don't know anyone who does, you're just driving up and down the streets of a neighborhood that you might want to live in someday. So many interesting things to do in Georgetown that aren't in TA, and this is listed as one of them. Can't comprehend. It's a neighborhood. If you're over 55 and you're looking to buy a house, then great. But this isn't really a great place to go for a day while you're visiting town because there's nothing for you to do here.

Swimming hole just North of town on the San Gabriel River.
You will know when you get close because cars are parked up and down the streets that are close by. Lots of small families stake out their area early and there are water falls that are pretty but most of the seating area is grass or rocks so pack a good towel, chair or blanket. The walking trail is next to it so there is some movement. Not good to leave purses etc and get in the water...leave your valuables elsewhere. Not much shade at all so plan for full sun. Great area to wade with small children.

We are a Texas Winery making Texas wines. We are located on the Historical Square in Downtown Georgetown Texas in a 130 year old building. We offer tastings, wine by the glass and small food items.
We are not wine snobs, but we do love good wines and friendly service. We got both of those things here. Cute inexpensive gift items also. We are going back! Loved the raspberry chocolate wine where they actually give you chocolate to eat with it. Yum!

Our grandchildren cut loose and ran around this wonderful playground for more than an hour. They could have stayed much longer but had to head for home. This beautiful play spot is safe and has numerous exciting options for kids of all ages. There is no cost to enter the playground, and it's located just off I-35. This would be a great place to stop and give your kids a much needed play break when driving up I-35!

Willie's bronze likeness is found on Georgetown's downtown square. If you wander into the nearby Museum you will get the full story of quirky historic figure. A quirky guy on Georgetown's square. What surprise in this beautiful sleepy city.
