Geneseo /ˌdʒɛnɪˈsiːoʊ/ is a town in Livingston County in the Finger Lakes region of New York, United States on the far south end of the five-county Rochester Metropolitan Area. The population was 10,483 at the 2010 census. The town and surrounding area is quite rural. The English name "Geneseo" is an anglicization of the Iroquois name for the earlier Iroquois town there, Gen-nis-he-yo (which means "beautiful valley"). A village of the same name lies within the town's western portion. The town is known today mainly as the home of the highly selective State University of New York at Geneseo.

Liberty Balloon Company was founded in 1976 by former US Navy aviator Carroll Teitsworth. Carroll is still the hub around which the business turns, but we have grown to a family-operated, full time, exclusive hot air balloon company offering rides over Letchworth State Park and the Finger Lakes Region. We schedule by reservation only, and always morning or evening. We take safety seriously; so we fly only when the weather permits and the wind is calm. We fly "small" balloons that have capacity for up to four in one balloon; but we can accommodate up to eight with two balloons. We also offer a several flight packages for those looking for an even more exclusive experience. Join us for your own hot air balloon adventure; we look forward to meeting and flying with you!
From the very first contact with Carroll online, this company is professional, knowledgeable and had detailed answers to all our questions. His son, Lee our pilot and Lance, his brother as the ground crew had our trust from the very start. Lee kept in contact with us continually throughout the day and provided detailed weather updates as well as detailed information about the flight itself. This was a surprised 50th birthday gift and there were 4 of us for a sunset ride. The view over the Finger Lakes was fantastic and we even did a "dip & dash" in Seneca Lake. The sunset was perfect and we could see 60miles to Rochester!. He provided flight information and stories which enhanced our experience and took fantastic photos of us. After dipping to the treetops for a souvenir of leaves, we landed softly in an Amish cornfield which to our delight was welcomed by several Amish families and their adorable children to help pack up the balloon. A celebratory toast with sparkling cider and a witty Certificate of "Survival" were presented to all of us. It could not have been a better experience as they work with you individually to provide the best, most desired trip. Book with this family business for a one-in-a-lifetime memory. You will be well cared for! thank you Liberty!

I've come here annually for the last five years. It is a wonderful location - so much space to walk in nature. So quiet. Great, yet simple accommodations. Awesome food available for those on retreat. The Abbey is recently renovated and beautiful. The daily worship with the Monastery is rejuvenating. And of course, the Monk's Bread is the best around! Love my silent retreat every year.

This is a great tour with extremely knowledgeable guides. It operates twice in weekends and once each weekday, bit is limited to 30 persons per tour so get there early. This is a military installation so photos are permitted outside and on the bridge of the dam, however neither cameras nor cell use are permitted inside. There is a 160 ft elevator ride down into the Dam and you walk through drift-like tunnels. May not be the best for those with claustrophobia issues. There is also a long walk down and back up a steep cement ramp to get to the Dam and back. This could be physically challenging. There is plenty of parking and a play ground, a great place to picnic as well. There is a small walk through Peace Corps and Dam display onsite. No gift shop. No charge for this activity.

Above the western shore of Hemlock Lake in New York’s renowned Finger Lakes Wine Region stands O-Neh-Da & Eagle Crest Vineyards, one of America’s oldest wineries. Established in 1872 as O-Neh-Da Vineyard, the Winery was originally established by Rochester’s first Bishop to produce premium sacramental wine for local churches. Today, we produce small-batch table wines made from 100% Finger Lakes-grown grapes, while maintaining operation of the oldest sacramental winery in the New World. Nature inspires our wine making today. We honor each unique cool-climate harvest, producing unadulterated local wines at a fair price. Medal-winning dry, sweet, Vinifera, native, hybrid, white, blush, and red wines are offered at the Vineyard on Hemlock Lake. Take the drive out and see us at the tasting room open daily. Cheers!
Located off the beaten path, Eagle Crest offers a great selection and friendly atmosphere. Originally started to make sacramental wines, they are located in a building rich with history and now offer wines to suit every palate. We enjoyed our visit very much although it took a couple of tries to find them open-check the website ahead of time!

We bought a groupon certificate for birthday party for 8 and took our grandkids.
The place is a little dated but had plenty of activities for the 8 grand kids.
We ended up buying a second pizza and drinks. 1 large wasn't enough. We did get a few tokens but deff purchased more.
The kids loved the play areas, games, mining golf and the go carts were the best.
After we had a great ice cream and had to drag the kids away after 2 hours.
Thank goodness my daughter, her boyfriend and 15 yr old grand daughter came. There is so much to do the younger ones wore us out.
More to do than chuckle cheese but not as good of a party set up. You get a reserved table , no cake , decorations and no rep to give it a birthday cheer and direction , like chuckle cheese but lots more to do and more room.
Great time we have been here before and will go back.

Two brothers moved to the frontier in 1790 to risk their inheritance on land, This elegant manor house was built by James Wadsworth in 1804, and remains in Wadsworth hands to this day. Original furnishings and ephemera are part of the unique appeal of this venue, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 1972, that is open to the public for scheduled tours.
I would highly recommend this tour, it is not often that you get a private tour which is given by a family member of the historic home. Will was extremely knowledgeable and included lots of detail and interesting facts not only about the home but also about how his family came to Geneseo and the adorable stories about the house relocation. This tour is a highly recommended Geneseo Gem ! Call them to book a tour !

By Appointment Only! Tree Creations is a growing tree house village (at a private residence), consisting of themed tree houses connected with rope bridges for all to enjoy! (by appointment)
This is an amazing place to visit. It has been on our to see list for a couple years and we finally made it. Well worth it. Even my teenagers enjoyed it! When we first arrived Joe greeted us at our car with a friendly hello and told us about the treehouses. He let us go explore and then came and checked on us. He answered our questions and pushed my daughter on the amazing swing. His 2 daughters came and cheerfully talked to us and played with us in the trees. Although it is free, we were happy to put some dollars in the donation box they have at the entrance. Thanks Joe and family!

Each Summer they host an airshow which is always a good value. I recommend attending if you are at all in the area.
My sons and I make a trip here at least once a year.
