We had a friend in town and took him by to see this. Its a very nice little museum, nice movie about Ava.
Warning. Be careful about parking on the street if you have a full size truck, a lot of mirrors get taken off. I was in the museum for about 45 mins and when I went out side I found my truck was damaged.

The Battle of Bentonville, fought March 19-21, 1865, was the last full-scale action of the Civil War in which a Confederate army was able to mount a tactical offensive. This major battle, the largest ever fought in North Carolina, was the only significant attempt to defeat the large Union army of Gen. William T. Sherman during its march through the Carolinas in the spring of 1865.
I first visited this site shortly after it was donated to the state when I was a small child on a cold winter day as my Daddy held my hand and we walked through the old house as he explained that the dark spots on the floor were blood stains from the soldiers who had been wounded in the battle. Since then I have visited many times, attended reenactaments and watched the site develop through the years. My ancestors fought in the battle. My Daddy hunted on private land surrounding the site and would often find minie balls. The site under conservation is a just a fraction of the full battleground.
If you want to learn more about the battle, check out books by Mark Bradley, a historian with the Army War College. He is the foremost authority on this battle.

We were so happy that the seafood portion of Gregory's reopened. We used to take our children there when they were young. Now we have been able to take our grandchildren. Love the seafood! We have been several times since the seafood restaurant reopened and we are never disappointed. The setting is beautiful. Take time to enjoy it!

I've been to the Rudy any number of times and for various shows. They have some excellent entertainers and always put on a good show. The shows are family friendly in that there is no profanity or content unsuitable for children--but IMHO children would probably not enjoy the shows that much. In my experience, some shows are better than others, but all have been good.

My husband, son, his wife, and a couple of friends and I visited Broadslab today and picked a beautiful day indeed. We took the noon tour and was completely impressed with the owner's story about the history of the area and his grandfather's recipe. He has really worked hard to stay ahead of the game and within the regulations his business is under. We asked lots of questions and he was very happy to answer them.
We next went to the tasting area and were totally blown away with the choices and tasts of his moonshine. My favorite is the Appleshine, but they were out of it....sigh
We bought some long-sleeve t-shirts with pockets, a recipe booklet with cool ideas, and went home chasing the ABC Stores for the Appleshine along the way.
The future looks excitingly bright for Broadslab and the event building, restaurant, and expanding distillery!! We can't wait to come back!

Carolina Premium Outlets features an impressive collection of the finest brands for you, your family and your home. Include a shopping stop during your next trip to the area. Located directly off I-95, near Raleigh, North Carolina, you're sure to find impressive savings of 25% to 65% all year round. Local Shop & Stay packages are available.
This is a very nice shopping center. It was not hard to maneuver because parking and driving were easy. The outlet is not overcrowded during the week. Most stores have friendly and helpful staff. Stores are smaller than other outlets and some offer no more discounts than department stores. You have to shop for your bargain. We found good deals at The Gap, Nike, and Christopher and Banks.

This place is full of collectibles and shabby chic....just what I love. It's so much fun to walk around and see what they have. This is where I bought my first pre-1950 pig which started a massive vintage pig collection.

Brewery and 75 seat taproom with 12 craft taps, kitchen and beer garden. We have live music most weekends and tours every Saturday at 2 pm. We offer a variety of styles and serve wine and cider. Taproom is family friendly and beer garden is pet friendly. We have event space available and cater on site. We specialize in big, bold beers served with southern hospitality!
Just happened upon this hidden gem on our way back home on Hwy. Business 70. Unknowingly passed it by several times as we assumed it was some kind of an industrial business by the buildings look. While stopped at a stop sign on the side...MoreThanks, we love Gary too! Thanks for the review!

What makes us different? We are very family friendly, we don't serve alcohol. We are all about the quality of the music. We try hard to keep an inviting environment where it always feels a bit like coming home. We love traditional country music and Ameripolitan as well. The Ice House Theatre is one of the most appreciative audiences in the world and they know good music when they hear it. We have
Austin Texas's star performer Dale Watson played to a sold out performance at the Ice House last night! Great show, music, and sound. Many great bands play here on Friday nights, and it's a place not to miss! Non-alcohol, family friendly. One of a kind place.

This theater has good prices and the snacks are good as well. However its nothing like the newer theatre, its in an older building and could use a remodel. The staff are always friendly and the screen and sound are average. If you wanna see a movie that's not at the big well known theater Howell's is a good spot.
