It seems like most folks have a grandmother, great-uncle or some other distant relative that used to live in Brooklyn, or perhaps a friend that lives there now. In the early 1900s, it was a mecca for immigrants arriving via Ellis Island. A hundred years later, young professionals and artists left pricey Manhattan digs for Brooklyn's cheaper and more expansive space. Neighborhoods like Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope, which had fallen into disrepair over the years, were restored and reborn as funky enclaves. Walk or bike over the historic Brooklyn Bridge (or ride the subway) to Brooklyn Heights for a stroll along the Promenade and breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Meander through Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for a taste of nature in the urban wilds. Catch a performance at the world-famous Brooklyn Academy of Music. From the delicious Italian restaurants of Bensonhurst to the Irish bars that line the avenues of Bay Ridge, from the hotdogs and rollercoasters of Coney Island to the bagels and handball courts of Greenpoint, Brooklyn is a state of mind as well as a dynamic community. Discover why, no matter where people move on to, they remain Brooklynites at heart.

We are New York City's first sidecar tour company EST. 2014 My name is Anthony Sepulveda, I’m a native Brooklynite, Musician, Filmmaker and Licensed Tour Guide. The tour weaves mostly off the beaten path, stopping at a few of Brooklyn’s tourist spots. Having grown up here I have a few stories to tell along the way.I have many reviews on my website which I am very proud of.My motto: It’s not about how many photos we take, but the memories we take home.

Women of Culture is a social enterprise that creates art-based experiences, trips and private group events designed to connect, inspire and empower women while also showcasing the power and necessity of the arts. I started her career in Marketing and transitioned to Graphic Design before noticing a lack of connection to the arts and other women in her own life.

Greeted with a warm welcome and a smile from Marsha at the front desk, the birthday girl and I were seated and treated to a perfectly chilled glass of champagne. Allowing us time enough time to enjoy our tasty beverage, we were lead to our first service. The rooms were quaint and themed and social distancing practices were observed at all times. My facial, serviced by Melissa was truly amazing. She took her time and my skin felt relaxed and nourished without the use of astringent products that cause the skin to burn or redden, alongside her most welcomed light handedness. After my facial I was taken to meet with Aretha, a small lady with magic hands. Her massage was beautiful, she asked as she went along if the pressure was enough (or not) and explained about the need for hydration and pointed out the tension spots that she found and worked to relieve them. I was truly relaxed when the massage was completed. With my champagne topped up, I was brought in to sit with the birthday girl for our final service for the day, the hand and feet paraffin scrub massage. With my feet soaking in the rose petal foot bath, champagne and water at the ready, Patricia worked her magic on my aching feet. She gave me the opportunity to smell the products used and politely explained what she was using. She was kind to the fact that I was extremely ticklish. My scrubbed and paraffin soaked hands and feet were unbelievably smooth, soft and moisturized. I was walking on air. After the services were complete, we were served a sumptuous Salmon lunch accompanied by polenta, roasted brussel sprouts and spinach salad with a side of warmed bread with sparkling water and of course glasses of champagne continued to be topped up. The meal was followed by a scrumptious chocolate flour less cake brought into the room by the ladies singing happy birthday. They left us to enjoy our meal at own pace (which we certainly did) On our way out, lovely Marsha thanked us on behalf of herself and for the other specialists for visiting Cynergy Spa. Cynergy Spa comes so highly recommended for single services or for their awesome service packages. The attention to detail, servitude, skillset and warmth make this the ideal space for all of your "Cynergy"needs! We will be back! Thank you so much Marsha, Mellisa, Aretha, Patricia.... You are truly appreciated ❤

Founded in 1859, this performing arts center is the oldest institution of its type still in operation in the United States.
BAM hosts a variety of performances, both live theatre and dance as well as movies. I have seen The Nutcracker ballet, many movies and ballet shows and most recently, “Medea” at the affiliated Harvey Sharp theatre a block away. The performances by Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale were riveting. Highly recommend checking out what’s playing. Located in downtown Brooklyn near Barclays Center and convenient to subway and bus.
