Fantastic view on a beautiful day, we were so lucky. There is also a small stone beach that you can go on to and dip your feet in the loch which was lovely and helped calm the sting of midgie bites! Lol

Visited in August with our young son, Leo, who was shy at first but wanted help. The lovely Kate was serving and she stopped what she was doing and couldn’t do enough to help my son. Clearly her customer service was a hit as my son bought his “girlfriend” a present as well as two other pieces for himself. He also insisted his mum went into the shop later to spend some money and check to see if Kate remembered him. Great little shop, some lovely and quirky glass items and the warmest welcome you could ask for. Highly recommended.

Lovely scenic drives along this road. Well maintained too. Road was quiet at this time of year , might be trickier driving in summer.

You may be familiar with this place, local or not, this place has always been talked about. The stuff off legend, our elusive friend the Loch Ness Monster, Nessie. This place is aways packed for that very reason, often dividing the opnions of the locals, but this place is beautiful during the nice weather, great picnic spots, not sure if its allowed, but did it anyway. The lake is impressive, twinkling like thousands of gems across the surface, which adds an impression glow a twingle of colours refleting against the big blue. Nice stuff here

Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Fountain

Reviewed By TXCtrow - Houston, United States

We spent five days in Fort Augustus and spent time each day in this historic pocket park. Beautiful roses circle the fountain park, delight the senses. We would go every day and hang out, talk to locals and tourists, just people watch. Take a picture, learn some history, get off our feet and take the time to smell the roses.
